EQOA Guide of the Month - September 2006

The EverQuest Guide Program is a program of volunteers. These volunteers dedicate their own time and energy to enrich the world of Norrath. As a Thank you to them Guides of the month have and will be chosen for their exemplary contributions.

1. Why did you become a Guide?
I became a guide because I wanted to play a different aspect of the game.

2. What games do you guide on? For how long?
I guide in EQOA for about three months now.

3. What is your guide race and class?
My favorite guide toon is a dwarf paladin, crazy dwarfs are always getting into trouble with drinking contests.

4. What is your favorite color?
My favorite color is pink (lol my daughter said that, guess that will teach me to read out loud) seriously my favorite color is red or white (OU Sooner colors).

5. What is your favorite land (zone)? Why?
Favorite zone...hmmm that's a tough one. I would have to say that Darvar Manor (Jareds Blight) is my favorite, lots of stuff to port on top of. SMILEY

6. What has been your best or favorite moment as a Guide?
Every time I log on I have a blast whether I am having an answer circle, handing out goodies, or just chatting with players about nothing specific.

7. What is your favorite quest, event, or knowledge circle? What do you do the most of?
I enjoy role-play, and most often would be my Snackmaster routine (I shall vanquish hunger!!) or the drunken dwarf series, whether he is fighting drunkenly through the goblin caves in the north or waking up on top of a building somewhere, he is always a laugh.

8. What has been your worst of least favorite moment as being a Guide?
When I tried to log on September 1st and my account had been marked as Inactive.

9. As a player have you every run into any Guides and events?
No, it seems that we really need some more participation in the program.

10. What is your favorite thing about this Game?
The community. SMILEY

11. What do you plan to do in the future as a Guide? Any goals?
Well I'm hoping to become a full guide as soon.

EQOA Guide of the Month - July 2006

1. Why did you become a Guide?
I spend most of my time on my play toons helping people; I figured I might as well do it professionally.

2. What games do you guide on? For how long?
Only EQOA, but for... some amount of months. I have a very poor concept of time, but that's ok... right?

3. What is your guide race and class?
Jundo is a Gnome Warrior.

4. What is your favorite color?
Pink... What?

5. What is your favorite land (zone)? Why?
Hrm... I'm gonna have to go with Freeport. Lots of grand memories... but some memories including werehunters.

6. What has been your best or favorite moment as a Guide?
I really had fun running the little pick up dueling tournament. Lots of pain, lots of sparkles. A surprisingly great match between a ranger and a shaman.

7. What is your favorite quest, event, or knowledge circle? What do you do the most of?
I like hide and seek. I give some clues as to where I'll be and people find me... makes me feel special.

8. What has been your worst of least favorite moment as being a Guide?
One time someone said they didn't like me and I cried. It was mostly on the inside... mostly.

9. As a player have you every run into any Guides and events?
No, I don't believe I've every seen a guide on any of my play characters... Sorry.

10. What is your favorite thing about this Game?
Honestly, I play a lot of MMORPGs, won't name 'em, but one major thing EQOA has better than any others is the spell system. The fighting system is seamless, very cohesive. Other MMORPGs can seem choppy at times.

11. What do you plan to do in the future as a Guide? Any goals?
The main thing I need to do is get on at some different times, full time work and full time college doesn't give me much variation in my play... err... guide times.

Aye, when the Guide Program started in EQOA, we had a lot of delays. However in the last month or so these have been resolved. You should know pretty quickly if you were accepted, however there may be a little delay on setting up training.

We are currently in the process of changing a few things around and adding more for Guides to do in EQOA.( I.E. Guide of the Month, the Tattler…) There will also eventually be a Classified section for quests and events. You should be able to post in there for any events to be run that month.

Guides are players that volunteer their time and energy to contribute to the game experience. I doubt that we will have any type of Q&A that may lead to revealing their player identities. However we are always excepting more applicants at https://guide.everquest.com/guideapp. Thank you!
