Hi guys, I've been playing MxO for a while, but I'm new to the spy tree. I'm currently using MKT and MS (Master Shadow); which I just started using at Data Mine to defend against other MS's that attack. I've spent a lot of $info leveling mkt and ms, and really don't want to spend any more to lvl Master Assassin so I'd figure to pose the question to Spy experts. Why would I choose Master Assassin over MKT? Is there a situation that calls for Master Assassin over MKT?

Ive been Assassin for way to long now lol, i didnt bother with the MKT tree because after realising how random the rolls are in this game i would rather do more damage then miss. I would go MKT tho for Duels, torney etc... but if you just looking for random PvP or killin NPC's i would say Assassin is a more suitable choice, yet thats from me some people may feel the same other not. Edit: sorry should of pointed out incase you didnt know that:
Master Assassin is based on Damage Master Knife Throw is based on Accaracy

To be honest its a personal prefference any good spy load will have atleast the 3 interlock knives and foot sweep from there its a preference if you want frankensteiner or punt. the only bonus Master assassin tree has over Master Shadow Tree is the paralysing throw which is a good knife to use as it gives a extra root chance if your cripling throw misses and also it can be used in interlock. other than that punt does about 100 damage more than frankensteiner. id stick with using the MKT buff tho as the extra dameg points Master assasin gives are rulled out by all the missed attacks due to lack of accuracy. some times its best to hit 75% of the time and cause 300 damage per hit than hit 40% of the time and hit 400 damage per hit.

If you were to take Master Assassin, and focus it on interlock, load up improved invisibility from the MS tree (with sneak that is a total of 15% to both melee and ballistic defense) and then have Throat Cutting Throw, Deadly Throw, and Leg Sweep you will be unstoppable in interlock. Spy tree at it's finest.

I hear some loads use more than one title buff from Spy. There's plenty of room to play around though and find out what is best for you.

Yeah, well, my attackers use it against my group to deadly effect; and I'm using MS in an effort to learn exactly how I'll be the best - cause when it comes to damage, MS stinks. I'd agree that MS is a major frustration to the opposition.

Well, I guess I'm going to have to build the Assassin tree and throw it in the mix and see about the title buffs.

Ty, for providing the insight and a build; I'll most certainly keep that in mind.

Remember though, those applied bonuses only work on applied buffs, so if you don't use say hyper-dodge, you are not taking full advantage of the ballistic defense bonus, though you might think the defense with that buff from spystyle will be enough, also those bonuses are only good against a gunman and MA, they will do nothing to make you stronger against a hacker or another Spy in interlock. Also, you can only ever apply 1 title buff no matter how many possible choices you have, the other "title" buffs that you don't apply can only give passive bonuses from loading them.

Personally speaking, i use a combination of MKT and MAss; with the MAss title buff for damage. Along with the best damage bonus % i can find (something around 25-30% if i remember correctly) i either get in kill and run or get in fail and GTFOOT. (: Its a load i designed for the vector gankathon there used to be but you dont get it much atleast i dont play that often to utilise it enough >.<
I don't see why you have to choose something for combination with the MS tree, why not jump right in there with the fun stuff. MS is all about evading and as you said weak(er) when it comes to damage. The best way to learn is to try for yourself, The best experience is first hand
