Projects within the power of people working on MxO:

You'll get nothing and you'll like it!!
If I were to reciprocate the way SOE treats MXO as perhaps a picture of a finger gesture, it'd get me banned. But of course it's perfectly okay to treat the customers like that since we're making the same amount of profit as we would if we treated them better.
Fixed.
Face it, they could put more money into this thing, but then they'd be losing money since it wouldn't enhance interest in the game and then they'd shut it down completely. As a company, it just wouldn't make any sense. Unless you want to give them the funds yourself, complaining isn't going to get you anywhere.
Better to have it run completely player-driven than to not have it run at all.
A little off topic, but it would have been nice to know that Walrus and Dracomet were going to show up at the dev party yesterday. I came in late because, due to the party's announcement, I assumed no devs were going to show up. I didn't know Walrus and Dracomet were there until I got there.

Personaly, I still think people should be thanking SOE... if it wernt for them the MxO servers would been shut down 3 years ago.
Be happy your still able to log into one of the few unique MMOs out there.

I agree with you imax the one thing i admit that the one fault with monolith it seemed like during every patch the game got bugier and bugier but since soe came along they fixed up about a majority of the bugs that were still from early beta and i still think monolith should have kept it in another month or two in beta as well.
I have the exact same amount of appreciation for SOE that SOE has for MxO.

Actually, the original release date they had aimed for was November 2004. So, they were stuck between a rock and a hard place, they couldn't push it back any farther...they were already getting bad press from the delay from Nov to March amonst the fickle public. But that being said, I don't recall any more or any less bugs during the Lith era as opposed to the SOE era. Was it that bad? I don't remember it as such but maybe I'm missing something.
Getting back on topic, I think we should relax and give Mr. Walrus time until the end of the Anniversary Event to let us know what the status of the game is. I think we should give him the benefit of the doubt! We love the Walrus, let him see if he can go to bat for us, or at the very least touch base with us.

Sounds reasonable enough. I just hope that he doesn't say something like being unsure whats going to happen, but the Halloween event is around the (extremely far away) corner. I suspect if he did say something it would probably be about FF '09, that event which only a tiny fraction of the games community can get to/is interested in.
If it weren't for SoE keeping this game alive, i would never of had the opportunity to pick up and play MxO. I only started playing 3 years ago.
I'm gonna continue playing till its dead. Read about so many people saying that years ago, most have unsubbed already lol I'm not one of those, unlucky but yous are stuck with me
Interlock, PvP, buildings and hyperjumping is what keeps me playing. And yes, all 4 of they things wrap nicely into vector. Hyper jumping and buildings make the pvp travel.

Speaking of FF09, I think that will be the biggest litmus test as to whether or not SOE is absolutely committed to washing their hands of us and never lifing a finger for us again...that being if no ingame item is offered for those who preregister for FF09.

Off the top of my head I can think of the stuck in interlock bug... that was a nasty one. Nothing worse then running a freakin long mission then at the end you get stuck in interlock, and only way to fix it is to log out and log back in, canceling your mission.
