lol i been Master Assassin before CR2, theres a lot more to MKT then u think, hell ya its great for doing teh dmg, but when i get IL by ppl who are KFG they can out roll me so bad, i mean really bad, do u know how powerfull Powerless is, with out MKT are *CENSORED*, they can do nothing at all and thats it, so why dont ppl start loadin Powerless abilitys? MKT is not over powered...
............ mother *hamsters*
i suck if thats what it is but i dont get how a load like that is that easy to use a 5 year old could kill someone who's been playing since release.. (i mean the brain of a 5 year mentioning no names) its just mad, i'm in a reallly reallly bad mood. sorry if this offends anyone
the timer issue is known by the devs and they are working on it, the lower population has mushroomed the number of people loading sneak but there are as many riflemen out there as spies..... as DJ says if a half way decent MA gets you in IL 90% of the time you will be unable to use an ability (without special abilities we dont do enough damage to counter an opponents regen!), hackers have been pretty sucessful in tourneys against mkt's of late as well so I suggest you look to what states you and dishing out. There may be ease of use issues with certain tree's but I dont accept that mkt's are overpowered once they resolve the timer problems we may even find the opposite.
Meh .. every thing has its power. altho Mkt Has some timers i don't agree with it will never be changed.
i suck at fighting mkt give me attentionz!!!!!!
MKT/MKT + Assassin just has the element of surprise over every other build. It also inflicts a high amount of damage, and fast You could argue that Sniper does the same thing, but in reality you only have to have your wits about you and there's no way a sniper should get the kill. I attribute the current complaints about MKT to those against Sniper, and they both amount to frustration at being caught unawares. The stats of the fork thrower are advantageous to those of a gunman. An MA (especially KFGM) or Hacker should be winning in IL, and if the knifer hasn't got a Punt/Suplex off first, there's no reason why you should be on the floor yelling about how much of a 'noob' the knifer is for beating you.
I'm currently Sniper, so I get routinely, easily killed by MKT/Assassin. I don't lose them all, but I do admittedly lose more. Kryt gave everyone a nice, straightforward guide on how to beat an MKT, and people are still complaining about how overpowered it is.
If you see Disable Evasion appear underneath your hotbar, immediately hyperjump upwards and land in the same spot. Disable evasion will usually have faded by now. They will have expected you to be gone instead, so get one attempt off at breaking their evade, hit block whilst they do the same, and work towards getting their evade down first. Any MKT/Assassin will tell you that getting them into IL first takes away their major advantage. From here on out you should know your build well enough to win rolls, and defend yourself against those sharp n' shiny forks.
You know, I still get people complaining at me, so I'll provide a guide on how to survive/kill a Sniper ala Krytical:
1. Don't stand around Mara C with no Hyper Dodge/resistance on, and using anything but the block tactic. If you're at Mara C at all, and for whatever reason, you should be prepared to be attacked at any time. 2. Periodically '/who' to see who's around, and what abilities they are using. Dress appropriately. 3. DON'T SIT DOWN ANYWHERE AT MARA C, and don't use your recon' timer to send hate tells. YOU allowed the Sniper to beat you. 4. Think about Sniper firing positions and avoid standing in the line of fire. 5. If you get hit with a Sniper Shot, immediately switch to dodge/block tactics (you should've been using them already, but then again you are reading this guide), locate the sniper and get to breaking their evade. If the Sniper Shot stuns you (I'm AMAZED at how little I've seen players do the following), pop an anti. It'll take care of stun, and you're covered for any other root the Sniper can fire at you. If Sniper Shot doesn't stun you, then it's your call as to whether you stay to locate the shooter, or get out of there. Piece of advice, if I've done 1,600+ with Sniper Shot, free-fire is going to do 800+. You obviously haven't observed point 2, so get out of there and come back stronger. 6. Once you've done all that and broken the Sniper's evade, get them into IL, or root/stun/pacify them before they can run. If you're an MA then just hope they get sloppy and don't escape in time - it does happen. Odds are that the Sniper will run/jump away. Try following them and hunting them down instead of standing still watching them make their escape (and sending hate tells), whilst one of their friends takes advantage of your low health. Sniper's strength lies in RANGED ATTACKS, so bitching about 'omg you ran noob lolz son' just makes you appear as though you have no clue what's going on, and probably believe Elvis lives down your street. 7. Once in IL the Sniper is completely out of his element, and will be trying to roll out, depending on his build. Some will have Sniper/Duelist specials loaded and will have the advantage due to your diminished health, others will be solely Sniper/ranged attacks and will be a pushover. 8. Remember, if a Sniper kills you, you didn't react in time. If you kill the Sniper, they didn't escape quickly enough. No one used any spiritual, taoist, Shaolin Monk training in order to win, it's just the balance of the game. 9. Remember it's a game, be graceful in defeat, and respectful in victory. You at the back with the Elvis t-shirt? No, you can't shout 'OMG PWNED NOOB' after beating a Sniper with KFGM. 10. I didn't have a ten but it seemed like a nice, round number to finish on. Oh I know, don't hijack other people's threads to make a point.
That's the one thing I forgot the mention. The only thing that requires attention from the MKT tree is the timers on IL knives.
Fair enough, you can use three IL knives in succession, but there can only be a ten second-timer at the most (I forget the exact timer right now). This means that knifers can use the three knives, leg-sweep to bridge the remainder of the timers, then the three knives again. This can obviously be executed as often as required. MKT is a ranged ability, so there shouldn't be such an simple option in IL. MKT's will argue that it doesn't do very much damage, you can outroll it etc. Both true, but against guns for example the accuracy vs defense changes, and you have a distinct advantage.
Increase the timer and all will be well. In my opinion anyway.
