Hello all, I just would like to know exactly what are CQ Points, what are they used for and is there anything special about them.

Combat Quotient. A point per kill of an enemy in PvP situation although not necessarily meaning you have to get the final blow, an entire group will get a CQ if they one of their member earns it. You can still gain a CQ if you damage an opponent but die before they do and someone else finishes them off. Also I believe you can't get them if that person has previously reconned and is under Death Effect. So it isn't an accurate reading of how many kills you have made but it does go some way to show the experience of that player's character in PvP but even this may not be a good indicator. The character whose CQ score you are looking up may be an expert PvPer using an RP character of theirs, doesn't use that character to PvP often thus has a low score or it could be a player who isn't brilliant at PvP but teams regularly and eats up the CQ's. There is no actual use for them apart from bragging rights, and certain competitions where proof of a kill is required.

I like to think of CQ not as a signifier of skill but PvP frequency. If you see a guy with a lot of CQ walking around, chances are that he's up for a scrap.

Quoted For Truth I just find the self declared 'pvp gods' funny, no matter what CQ tally they have.

CQ's just shows how often you pvp. When i hit lvl 50 in Nov 06 i only had 80 cq, now I'm not far off 8k.
PVP FTW

CQs are worthless regaurdless of what people think. The only really purpose of a cq point is a inaccurate number based on most damage or kills on other players in pvp. I myself have 14700+ cqs on my main, and all it really does it boost my confindence in myself and shows others that they will really have to work hard to take me down, most of the time, takes 3 to get it done quickly...
