As much as it may anger Vector players, i'm fairly sure they'd sooner make the game completely carebear than they would completely pvp. You know, if they ever did merge and all.

On a non-Hostile server, you can still flag for PVP, on a Hostile server, there is no way to un-flag, so all logic says that it would be merged to a Non-Hostile server, but then again your right about all Logic going out the window when implementing content in MxO

honestly the two best things that i can think of for a server merge with vector is
1. more events happening on the server more often...
and
2. more active liaisons that actually jack in a few times a week...

If they did merge, they'd probably do it with the two servers that have the least population on 7 days a week in total, which is probably recursion + vector-hostile

*mumblessomethingaboutfemaleGis* Since EQ SOE has wanted to force PvP on all players.

I really doubt that would make any difference.

well it would if vector have merged with another server cause our zion liason officer has been mia for about 4 months now and for the last sevral events we have had Tyndnall sending out brodcast meesages for the events

you know what we need, our friend's list to pick up which event character is online again. maybe find a way to prevent people from sending you tells, but at least we know when an event is going down and if its on a different server so i dont sit around waiting for something to happen...
just give us like an event email to specific people in a server and just have us spread the word around, lol
wont happen, but you know...

As long as Recursion likes Perma flag PVP i'm fine with that.
Otherwise my suggestion on the previous page... i think it was in this thread anyways is the way to go.

If that were to happen, which I doubt, I'd guess that those on Recursion who don't want to be Perma flagged will probably grudgingly roll a new character or play an existing character on Syntax. You'd probably get the Recursion/Vector divide in the server player base, those who levelled up on a hostile server and those who didn't.
The only merge that would happen if they want to reduce it to two servers (the spare would not be guaranteed as a test server), then it would be the two non-hostile servers. There would then be the issue of big server load on the non-hostile server.
