With the pending combat revamp, I hope that another RSI attribute hack would be made available along with it. Even though it is unlikely, I think many players would appreciate it.

An archive forum is an interesting idea. Though as of now, I don't think theres many threads here worth archiving.
I'm thinking that a petition forum of some sort would be more useful.

I already recycled me masks, along with Neo's Insight, Neo's RSI Frags, etc.
Yep,
that’s right. Using a Stealth Ability while being able to Restore another player
has been deemed viable gameplay. I know this is going to be somewhat
upsetting to a few people, but there’s a design reason for not “fixing” this:
Upcoming changes to Stealth mechanics.
So, being able to revive someone without becoming
visible is not an exploit? And it's not an exploit because in 2-3
months you plan to change the way Spy works anyway... right.
I understand you're hesitance to try to change or fix combat because
you're coming out with an "Upgrade" sometime "soon", but 2-3 months
with some of the combat problems is too much. Hence why some players
have cancelled their subscriptions.
To be honest, the more I hear about this Combat Upgrade, the more I think nerf.
Hackers, Patchers, Ranged Classes, Spies, it sounds like this game is heading to make MA the class. Sure,
giving MA a viable chance in PvP is nice, but there are other ways to
go about it than nerfing classes and combat in general. We'll see, in a
few months how things really turn out.

Thank the ONE!!!! We will be able to open locked doors and not get popped. It seems some of the suggestions from the old forum spy improvement thread may actually surface. I love the idea of "the longer you are around the more likely you get spotted." That is a great idea. I also think we need to make sure we get the invisibility crippled walk fixed. It was a funny joke. But i think it has been played out. LOL So lets get a move on.
Thanks for the update Walrus.

P.S. As far as MA becoming the dominant combat class....I say good. I think that should be the dominant class anyway. I mean look at the movies. The Matrix is not like other MMO's wizards, or hackers rather, should not be able to come in a just shut everyone down. There are too many abilities in that tree that give way to many things at once. It was ridiculous. A balance would be nice.

It
might be better to do it in parts and see how the community reacts. If
something is wrong with one tree, you may have to re-work the whole
thing.

Walrus what about the Coder Tree and the Martial Arts tree? Why haven't you posted any info on these trees? The MA Tree deserves better, since that is what the whole movie series is based upon. Please Walrus post in your next Looking Glass about features or content which will relate to what this game is actually based upon which is The Matrix.

You can't do that. You
can't do it in parts. You can "test" for balance. The only way to
figure out whether or not the Combat Upgrade truly makes things more
balanced or not is to release it. Once PvP occurs under natural
conditions with the new Combat Revisions, then you'll know whether or
not they made PvP better, or worse.
If you release in parts, then you have one tree that has been changed
against those that haven't. That's not what combat will be like once
all parts are released.
Also, I don't think MA should be the most powerful class. I think all
classes should have an equal chance in combat, and not be solely
confined to support roles. There were simple solutions to make combat
more balanced and MA more viable. We'll see what SOE's solutions are
eventually.

I like the fact that your stealth won't be popped for unlocking or door, and hopefully hacking a comp or shutting down the security, and the idea that staying stealthed around someone will increase the chance they'll detect you is a good idea. Though I'm sure true hackers will complain, and people will complain of a problem wiht a lack of variety in classes, but i do hope this combat revamp strengthens the MA's a lot. That's the main idea of the Matrix, I just pray that the MA tree will be expanded upon. I mean with the interlock system and martial arts being the main focus of the game; the MA, heck the whole operative tree, should be the biggest and most diverse tree. One last thing, Is there any hope in the future of changing the RSI's appearance?? Like a haircut or a good shave?? I really need one...

Yeah, that internal monologue volume control always gets me into trouble as well...
Sounds like everything is starting to come up roses! Love the archive idea, especially with the rp stories... nice to go back and refresh once in a while.
Speaking of RP stories, I WOULD like to point out that Syntax also has a very good rp primer, thanks to our own GamiSB... RP for Dummies. GREAT resource.
And one question... will Zen Master be coming out with the new patch??? *Crosses fingers, toes, and eyes*

Nice stuff... I'm looking forward to the implementation of SOE Mail. Congratulations again on a lovely Halloween. I hope you guys managed to enjoy the fruits of your labours and weren't running around working all weekend.

January 2006 seems like a while to wait, but I'd rather them get it
right and make it better than rush it, I just hope SOE uses the QA to
externally test the revamp when it gets closer to release.
Also, any word on LESIG?

The team is immensely happy with the response to our first-ever Halloween event in The Matrix Online. A lot of thought and hard work went into it and it’s always nice to see something like this work out well.
Great Job Walrus! Here's some interesting links. Favorite MaskRate The Halloween Event
Also in the design are changes to what does or does not automatically pop your Stealth Abilities. Some things still will end a Stealth effect (like attacking an NPC) while others won’t, but will take longer to do (like breaking a locked door’s code).
OK but pleeasse fix the lockpick animation dance.
