NightTrace is actually Rarebit which thus causes rift in time and space. But let's go back to the beginning.

In the beginning, there was one. And he was called Goat. He liked mudkips. He loved the mudkips so much, humans were born. A couple billion years later, AI was born, and then we got pwned, and then AI took over, then eventually NightTrace was created in a pod. He was actually the one, but because of favoritism they gave it to Neo. NightTrace found out with a private encounter with The Oracle and went ballistic. After being stuck in a Zion recovery construct, where he boned a digital recording of Ookami everyday, he was released with a clean bill of health. He grew a goatee and started calling himself The Generalista. The rest, as you well know, is history.
