What's the point of these threads? SOE doesn't own The Matrix Online. They license it. Everything must be approved by WB. So when you don't see MxO on something it's because WB either took to long or said No. So making these threads and then busting SOE is stupid. Bust WB balls.

WB has NOTHING to do with this:

I just realized that the link points to the station store (which i've never been to) and is promoting other procucts such as clothes and strategy guides related to the various games.  If MXO doesn't have any of this to offer then OK.  In reference to the licensing, does anyone know if SWG is owned by SOE or licensed?  If they are licensed as well, how are they included in the store list?.  When you click the link it says something like "no products available" (or something like that).  So they have no products to offer, but they still get listed?  We should at least be listed and get the "no products availabe" screen.  It's all about giving the game an opportunity to be seen by those who don't know about it, even if there is nothing to sell.  It's like we exist on some island away from the rest of the games on the staion pass.  As far as WB, i just can't see them not wanting to see their game bringing in new players as it helps to keep the entire Matrix Franchise alive and relevant.  Maybe SOE is not requesting anything from WB on the game's behalf?

If SOE went out of ther way to de-list MxO from their available product list, that's a reeeally bad sign.

Agreed, SOE has advertised the game on their site before, they still have the license. I don't see any reason why WB would stop them from doing (what little it was) what they were doing previously. It's not as if they were using Matrix images or doing anything but promoting the game by name and link.

If time for approval is an issue then SOE could have applied for approval earlier. This is simply just another sign that SOE are happy just to keep MxO online as part of their Station pass. At this point I believe that the only thing SOE are willing to provide for us other than the continuing running of the servers is Virrago.

Good point. Unfortunately.

edit: lol you guys post too fast, seriously, the complaining seems to be the most eager thing on the forums these days

Before you flame me about your right to complain, refresh your memory about how complaining about MxO has been going on since launch. The game was not great back then either, just new to you and me, that newness is not something we can ever get back and is the singlemost reason why most MMORPG's don't last.

MxO is in far better shape now than it ever was after launch. SOE may not be doing what you think it should be doing for this game but SOE is still the only reason this game is still here. No other company, including WB and Monolith would have been able to sustain it for this long, why do you think they sold it so quickly after release?

There's a right way to do things, and a wrong way to do things.

Edit:  The reason we complain is because we care about this game and don't want it to Epically Fail.  You should worry the day we stop complaing.  Also, it seems people have a very selective memory.  We have been the least "complainy" player base in most all MMO history from Launch up until a few months ago.

So I absolutely disagree with your contention that we've always been whiney whiners and serial complainers since day one.  Aside from garden variety run of the mill player personality conflicts.  Perhaps you should compare any mmos forums with any given thread on MxO from March 2004 to November 2008.

Should we sit on our hands and be afraid to offend SOE's ddelicate sensibilities?  Be afraid to speak up and only think la de da Positive Thoughts?  This isn't Oprah's The Secret you know.  Ignorance is not bliss.  Again, You should worry the day we stop complaing, and no, we're not doing it because we're "bored" as someone upthread suggested.

Indeed, it's just a shame that it seems that most of the subs we pay seem to go toward supporting other games. This view could be dead wrong (Although I doubt it is) but we don't get told otherwise, hell we don't even get any type of communication on the forums from the Producer anymore.

In fact the only interaction we have with someone from SOE seems to be with Virrago but there's only so much he can do unfortunately.

There's the way they do things and there's your perception about what that means. There may be a better way to do things but that's different than you're suggesting SOE is out to snub MxO:

It's a store and MxO has no products to sell in a store. Did they go out of their way to delist it because they want to hate on MxO, or is it just that there's nothing to list so they didn't include it?

Well, I for one am trying to get other people I know into MXO. I think we should all do the same. MXO has a really solid community of players, and we should try and increase our number by recruiting our friends. This game beats wow is just about every area, it's time we showed other players that.

You got a good soul, but I think that is what we players (not SOE) have been trying for the last many years and to me it's getting kinda like a sit com. We got fansites, promotion sites with trial key's, forums for every organization, we got lots of other site's that tribute to do this and still not a single word from SOE or any of their employeers. To me it is just another slap in the face to us players here at MxO.

Over the last 2-3 months there have been many threads about this issue and it might go on until we get bored of that to, be cause we don't get a answer or respond from SOE...do we?

Who cares about other MMO's? You can disagree all you want. You're still wrong. There has always been complaining and SOE bashing. It's old and tiresome now. Everything you've said has been said many times over before starting long ago now. I've been playing and reading the forums since launch. Go back and refresh your own memory.

If SOE had listed MxO in the store with no products to sell for it, would you still complain or be happy when someone pointed it out? The answer is obvious, you still complain. Planetside and SWG are in the store with no products. That's just lame anyway.

This little issue is so trivial it's not worth a discussion. Save the SOE fanboy insults for someone who cares. You're crying about every little nothing you can conjure up. Now I'm the one speaking up about it. It's ironic that you build yourself up for not being afraid to speak out but try to put me down for doing the very same in this thread. Nice one way street you live on.

New players come into this game and find MxO is a very cool game with a lot of cool content to explore. Then they point out that the worst thing about this game is all the veteran grieving. You want to tell me your complaining is doing the game good? You're running off new players and then begging for a server merge so you'll have more people to play with. More irony is all it is.

You're your own worst enemy. Only you can change that.

Don't worry, you'll be rid of me soon enough, as well as all my whiney, QQ, negative "veteran" friends.  When we are gone, you'll have the dead husk of MxO all to yourself.

I'm sure with all of us gone I'm sure new players will flock to the game and bring about an MxO Renaisance, where no negative thoughts will upset the newly awakened.  Perhaps you can shield them from vague whispers and rumors of a time when there was more than zero percent content, zero percent development, and zero percent communication from those who run the game.  Never let them know that this game's appeal was once a dynamic, interactive, storyline-driven game based on the Matrix franchise.

Do not let them take the red pill, they might see the true nature of the Matrix.  (Online).

I am certain that SOE appreciates your steadfast devotion and loyalty to The Agency MxO, no matter what they do or however they treat their paying customers.
