While reviewing the MxO storyline, I ran across the riddle of The Mentor, The Creator, and The Seductress which was part of The Race to Find the One event.  I admit that I've never solved this puzzle.  At the time, I didn't even realize it was a puzzle :smileytongue:.  There have been previous threads on the subject, but none led me to the solution.

My understanding is that:

  • Each of the three "mysterious speeches" contained a special phrase.  The phrases varied per server.

  • All three factions had to work together to compile the phrases into one message.

  • Somehow, this message was decoded to lead the riddle solvers to a meeting with The Oracle.

  • At this time, The Oracle delivered her momentous speech to all redpills.

  • This kicked off the Shaper portion of the event.

Is that how it happened?  Does anyone have a list of the special
phrases for a given server and can show us how it was decoded?
Did you actually get to meet The Oracle, and do you have screenshots?

This one has nagged me for a while, and it would be nice to learn the
solution and see how it fits in with the story.  Thanks.

The rumours say that The Collective from Method (now Recursion) met her at that time.

Actually this is one of the riddles I never heard the answer too, and as such would love to see how it was solved.

The riddles must be some of the best parts of this game. I read over
how Vashou's murder was investigated and was amazed at how well it was
set out. They're too complicated for my brain in most cases, but I love
hearing how people find the answers to these things.

If I remember correctly, the meetings with the Oracle took place shortly after the event, and solving the puzzle merely caused the Oracle's message to be transmitted.  I could easily be wrong.

Dasein and few of our other members did meet the Oracle thank to solving the riddle.

I'll leave the rest to Dasein to answer.

It was an honor for us as I'm sure you can imagine.

But was it during the event or after it?  Everything I've read suggested that it happened afterwards.

It was during the event if I recall correctly.

I didn't know this was a puzzle either, at the time SMILEY

I do now and have always wondered what the other phrases are that were given to Zion and the Machines! But I have never been able to find out =(

On Method, the Merovingian's phrase was "Resistance awakens redpills."

I did some research on this on The Collective
forum.  The only related message I could find on their public
forums was this: Congrats on meeting the Oracle
Based on the date, it sounds like they probably met her after the
event, but it also means they probably solved the puzzle first.

Dasein or other Collective members: care to chime in?  Inquiring minds want to know. :smileyhappy:

To whom it may concern,

Some may know I have left the strife of the Matrix choosing instead to settle for a quiet, modest home in the Real World. I have been contacted by my friend and Collective brother, Garu, to relay the following story. Most don't believe it but I saw it with my own eyes.

During the escorting of the Shapers, there were speeches given to each faction by their representatives. Each of these speeches contained code letters that formed the phrase "paxlibartem". I sent an email to "paxlibartem@thematrixonline" expressing interest to meet him thinking he was the 8th missing Shaper. Instead myself and others in the Collective received a response from the Oracle that we would be contacted soon. A couple of days later, while in Chinatown, I was contacted by Seraph asking to gather pre-chosen Collective members for a meeting with the Oracle. With much haste, we met Seraph at a little book store in Richland.

Seraph led us to the door of a closet in the back of the little empty shop. He produced a key and unlocked a door marked "storage". But when he opened it and ushered us in, instead, we found ourselves in a long white hallway dotted with locked doors on either side that seemed to go on forever. as we walked, Seraph instructed us on proper manners for meeting with the oracle. His stoic tone reinforcing what a privilage and a rare opportunity this was.

He stopped in front of one of the unmarked doors, unlocked it and led us through the floor of a run down housing project. I couldn't tell exactly where we were. It was run down and trash littered the hallway. It could have been one of the run down apartment buildings in Eschen or even one of the abandoned business buildings in Stamos. Like everything it seems in the Matrix, it was so non-descript that it bordered on the oppresive monontany of a dream that is novel even pleasent at first but once you find you can't wake up from that dream the most reasuring and familiar images become twisted and unsettling. I remember for hours, I would watch the pigeons trying to figure out their pattern. It seemed like they moved... wait... where was I? Oh, the Oracle.

Seraph led us into a living room. He instructed my friends who had come with me to wait there and Seraph led me to a back room where she waited. Seraph waited by the door and I walked in. She was sitting on a couch smoking a cigarette. She actually reminded me of my grandmother but thinner. Cigarettes killed my grandmother when I was still very young. At the time, it made very sad but now that I know -what I know now - I'm not sure what that means anymore. The Oracle smiled and stood to greet me. I remember her smile. I remember she put her hand on my arm. I remember she was warm and comforting. I remember her telling me I was special and having that feeling a child gets who feels like they had made their parent proud of them.

I can't tell you exactly what she said to me, after all, what was said was said for me alone. But I can tell you, she told me about the danger that Morpheus was in. She told me where to look to find those responsible. Valuble information that I passed on to my friends in the Collective. I've heard they are still doing well... I guess it helped. I hope so.

As we left back through that forever hallway of doors back to the bookstore, I wondered why she had chosen to talk to me. I think now she wanted to help the Collective. I think she knows and shares our dream. The same dream that I believe the One died for: the future. Man, Machine, Programs all of Our futures.

It makes me a little sad to think that maybe I failed her a little bit. But the more I saw the more it seemed like the fighting would never end. Even Morpheus, as strong as he was, couldn't save himself. That's when I knew I had to leave. I hope someday the dream does come true. Perhaps stronger men then I can make that happen. I just hope I live long enough to see it and to see the Sun with my own eyes.

Good luck,
Dasein

Good times...Dasein was the first to contact Paxlibrartem, and another
five or six of us followed shortly after. Upon Seraph requesting that
we meet with her, five or six of us all met him in a coffee shop and
were teleported to another building where Dasein sat down with her and
had a chat. The remainder of us waited in the hall, but Seraph allowed
us to listen in Area chat.

Thanks for the info guys.  Meeting the Oracle must have been a memorable event.

Paxlibrartem, huh?  No wonder I couldn't figure it out :smileytongue:, but I think I've got it now. The address is made up from the first letter of each word in the secret phrases.  Neo's RSI Frags
tell us the order, and then he supplies the last three letters (I
always wondered what that last frag meant).  Below is the
composition for Method.  The phrases, and I assume email address,
were different for each server.

The Mentor (Morpheus) - PAX - unknown (I'm sure I've seen it on the old boards though)

The Creator (Architect) - LIB - "Linkerror: Incompatible Binary"

The Seductress (Persephone) - RAR - "Resistance Awakens Redpills"

RSI Frag 10.16 (Neo) - TEM

Now that makes sense, although how you figured out it was an email
address is beyond me.  Congratulations on solving the puzzle, and
thanks for the help.

oh, cool! Thank you for posting the Machine phrase! ^_^ Now it makes sense to me too SMILEY

But, I have to say, if i had figured all that out and got Paxlibrartem, I would have thought it was an anagram and tried to descramble it or something SMILEY What a tough puzzle!! You all that figured it out are awesome! SMILEY
