After scanning Through the Patch notes there is nothing Written about a change on the Assassin Masks Effect Corruption Pulse

but its Dealing 254 damage now every 4-5 seconds to the User and Doing this to the Opponent...

- 7dmg

- -5ct

- 5 Toughness

i dont wanna use an effect thats going to do so little to the Opponent and cost me 254 health. consistently.

Patch notes say:

- Assassin's Mask now does the correct amount of damage to the wearer when activated.
-
The Assassin’s Mask Corruption Pulse will now accurately deal damage.

Looks like point 2 is not true SMILEY

Look when this was posted it wasnt put in the notes and it deals 254 damage to the wearer 7 dmg to the attacker.(aswell as the Debuffs.)

They didn't fix anything with it. Nothing was changed.

That was actually in last months patch SMILEY<img src=" /> and was only posted now :O i sent a message to 9mmfu asking about it and i got back "I was told by the designers that its by design."  SMILEY<img src=" />


  • After patch the mask Does 250 Damage per "Click" of the timer, which seems a bit much for only having a chance of geting a 7 Pts damage on an opponent and some downgrades. if it hit every time then maybe it would make more sense.
  • if this is meant to be the way why does the" Fly Virus immunity" not deflect the fly virus when it is applied to me, when it does for opponents
  • When I hi light over the fly virus when it is on me it says that it should Cause "20 Damage While active" (theres a typo on it too in game SMILEY<img mce_tsrc=) Not 250 Damage per "click"
  • if this is actually meant to be correct then the makes the "20% Health Regan" buff on the mask pretty much null and void, as the HP u regen u loose str8 away while the pulse is active. (Saying that though you don't have to use, and its in theory a downgrade for getting an advantage in PvP assuming it hits).

Although one thing i have noticed since this patch is that it is hitting the opponent more... before i could jump into a crowd of 30 and hit 6, now its more like jumping into a crowd of 30 and hitting 20. Id like to see the fly virus immunity being able to deflect it from the player using it though.

The Mask itself is Godlike lacks resistance but is the best headwear in the game.

its a shame about the effect would u wanna waste 254 hp every tick to lower Ct and toughness? it just ruins the Health Bonus'es you get from it.

It's well worth it to run into a huge group of flagged and set it off, then run away. Unfortunately, it can now MISS since a much earlier patch, which makes its ability to stop sneaking spies a 50/50 thing when that used to be something that was worth it (even when it originally dealt 200 damage to the user before something broke and it stopped doing that).

It seems that the changes were not applied yet. We have sent in bug reports about this for a while now, it is good to see that they will be addressed soon. The effects of Corruption pulse are ridiculous and they have acknowledged that. Hopefully the intended changes will be applied soon.

omg  lol i thought only lvl 80 npc's in merv missions still wore those piece's crap. all in all the mask is just a godly hat....and i still want one!

Yeah...200damage to the user for -5 ct and 7 damage to an opponent? Lol.

Balance it out, dealing 200 damage to everyone in your radius might be a bit excessive - make it 100 damage to the user 100 to surrounding enemies? Or, just give 7damage to the user.

well as it stands i can swap between a sakura and the mask and not tell the difference when i fight.

The Mask needs a Good Looking over to make it stand out more from other headwear not Just Corruption Pulse IMO.
