To the Community of The Matrix Online,

Since Beta, the RMC name has been dedicated to bringing the largest and best variety of music to its listeners, no matter what their walk of life.  RMC: Terminal has prided itself on its ability to positively entertain the community, and provide events and contests that aids fellow players in having the best possible experience they can have while playing The Matrix Online.  In the last four years those goals have not changed, and we would like to announce that in 2008, it will get a lot better!

RMC: Terminal has officially partnered with the Algorithm: Black Events Team, a group of players that have banded together to bring an entirely new style to the MxO experience by way of monthly player events, to take things in an entirely new direction for everyone!

What does this mean?

On February 29th 2008, RMC: Terminal and Algorithm: Black will be fully integrating themselves into one another.  RMC: Terminal will be changing its broadcasting format to a (almost) 100% In-Character style.  This means that we will be taking on the role of a bluepill-operated radio station within Mega City, and our broadcasts will be from a bluepill point of view.  In keeping with this, we will begin airing IC advertisements regularly on RMC: Terminal for things like the Cobra Lounge, The Sentinel, Captain Jack's Whiskey, Mrs. Anderson's Welsh Rarebit, Void Shades, MetaCortex, Slumberil, and other prominent businesses within Mega City!  We will also be allowing players of MxO to submit their own bluepill-friendly advertisements for rotation!

The Algorithm: Black Events Team will be fully utilizing RMC: Terminal for its events, by using our new format to drop event clues, special recordings and riddles, and other items of interest for its event participants!  As of February 29th, 2008, you're never going to know what you'll hear when you tune in, or if it's nothing at all or really a trip further down the rabbit hole.

To celebrate this partnership, the staff of RMC: Terminal and Algorithm: Black will be hosting a Live Chat on Xfire on January 6th, 2008 at 2:00pm Pacific Time specifically to discuss these changes, and what they mean to you.  To be included in the group chat, please private message me (Havocide) through the DN1 forums with your Xfire Username.  Both of our groups are dedicated to enhancing your gaming experience, and that is exactly what we hope to do with this precedent-setting move in 2008!

See you at the chat!

Sincerely,
The Staff of
RMC: Terminal
and Algorithm: Black

The use of RMC to enhance the AB event was very well done. Really took me back to the radio stations of old that were around when the game first came out.  Really good move.

QFT.

And good luck. That's quite a massive project, speaking from experience when doing that when EPN Radio was around. And I'll be glad to help make some commercials. I used to have so much fun doing that. Wish I could find all my old ones...

Keep up all the good stuff. Before I played MxO, I listened to RFZ during the old Live Events. Now that I'm in, I got RMC: Terminal and A:B. SMILEY

Well, I just want to congratulate you guys on some successful stuff and wish you the best of luck.

I think it might be a tad ambitious, so just remember, if you can't keep it IC all the time, you can always go to regularly scheduled time slots for radio shows or something.
