I dont know where I could put it else, but I had get a cool Idea for an blindness effect.

Blindness has now the effect that around the charakters head swirling a
black fog, and so the charakter can no more hit an enemy so good as
before.

Delete the bad hitting and let us get real blind.

I mean a real black screen, we can only see the hud, but we cant see the world. Thats real blindness.

If you had marked a player before, he gets dismarked.

But with such effects we can do more.

If you put on an hacker glasses, a green fog gets over the screen for a short while, and get away.

You could do the same thing to DataNodeGoogles.

And another Idea to let you think you are in the game SMILEY

If you get stunned, you cant move, ok I think everybody knows that. A
little gimmick would be to disable all controlls to the charakter. That
means you cant turn your look.

There are many cool ways to give us a feeling to be in the game.

I hope everyone had understood me, becouse my english is not the best :smileysad:

That does actually sound pretty cool, although I'm sure it won't be implemented.

I don't know if I'd like that, since then you miss out on lots of action.

Imagine being blinded in the middle of a pvp battle, no more nice screenies or helping out your team mates, or get stunned facing a wall and not being able to turn around and watch yourself die in the middle of things, that would just plain suck.

If this were a game in first person view, I'd agree with you more, but it's not. The point is to enjoy the environment and be able to possibly overcome certain disabeling skills (**bleep** that stun!). If you'd like to take it to RP stance, Neo was blind yet kicked the crap out of Banith (Bane & Smith...Banith, get it?). Not being able to see the world but still being able to see the HUD is really not that detrimental, but it does make the game more borring not being able to see the action.

I use blind in almost every PvP encounter I'm in because of the status effects-I do NOT want it replaced with this.

I can understand why not everyone want this effect of blindness.

It does downgrades -20 CT, but what is with an hacker? It has no effect to an hacker.

I had played with this thought becouse an hacker cant even more see where he could hack.

I had played Anarchy Online and when you get blinded there you are
realy blind, the screen gets complete black, and thats realy cool
becouse you get a realy fear what could happend.

Neo had seen Bane.... yeah.... but only he was the One, he had seen the
code. The code of the mashines core. This can do only the one.

That's a pretty cool idea, although the whole point of the innovative
new combat system that MxO has over other MMOs would be lost then, as
you'd see none of it.

I don't agree with the effects for hacker goggles, etc., as some people
wear them all the time (good for IS) and it would permanently distort
the picture. If it was toggleable that might not be so bad.
