Woah, mild necro there.

I know they did it before, but back then they had a considerable number of people to handle the complex task. Now they have a maximum of four people dedicated to MxO, only two of which may have the skills necessary to do this.

Now that is a more legitimate reason. I would hope that SOE would be willing to lend a few helping hands for such a merge if it were to ever happen.

(And I don't count <30 days a necro on these boards, heh)

I think this might be something to revisit if necessary in January or February.  I'm running into a lot of old vets lately, this month, which is quite nice SMILEY  I hope they stay, but thats not something that usually happens based on past exprience unfortunately.

I just wish the devs can give us some sort of feedback at all on the topics raised here.. Especially a hot topic like this one. We never know whats going on until its already done and in update notes.

That does not however mean you guys are not allowed to talk about them and we do read your opinions in these threads.

Also, I would much rather someone create a new thread then necro some 2 month old thread with old discussion in it as it is easier for us to read fresh threads then 2 month old ones.

Oh and for you guys flaming the Original Poster, you are not the forum police. That is my job, report the post and we will make the determination on if it violates a rule, rather then you quoting rules at someone which just leads to turning the thread into a flame fest.

Oh... Well he makes a good point about necro'ing. I couldnt be bothered reading back on such a large thread hence my mistake.

And my point still applies in general. I hardly ever see a reply from a dev as clear as this one.

Ive just come back from a 2 year absence and i definatley see what everyone is talking about.

Recursion is pretty dead when it comes to the amount of players so i would definatley like to see a merge SMILEY

This has stopped making sense.  If all those people who have said 'Recursion is dead' logged into Recursion to see that it was dead, then it would be pretty full.

Really bad hypothesis, Operative.   Also, it isn't your server.

Actually I'm glad you brought this up.  Someone a while ago suggested an MxO Census.  I wouldn't mind participating in a Census sometime after the Winter Event, late January or thereabouts.  Shouldn't be too hard.  Lets see what the real deal is with the tools we as players have.

Also I doubt that any player census will be very accurate.

Also doesn't help when half the whiners who were FROM Recursion bailed to Syntax. "OMG ITS DEAD I LEAVE NAO TO SYNTAX"

(p.s. nothing against Syntax)

Well, obviously it wouldn't be as accurate as SOE opening up the books.  Just a thumbnail sketch.  But it would be much more accurate than hyperbolizers on DN1 (on both sides).

Im sure this isnt a new idea... but given the circunstances Im posting it today. Im from Recursion, and its sad to see it always on Low, its almost dead, same few people. I made a new character on syntax, since its the only server (I know vector sometimes too) that reaches Medium. A lot of people from Recursion I know are doing the same, and we all feel the same way: "They should merge Syntax and Recursion". That way we can have our main characters together and do better RP, or involve more in the game. Whats the use of having a server on Low anyway? It would be fair for many people like me that have their main character on Recursion.

Thanks for reading.

should have joined syntax from the start, then you wouldnt run into this little snag.
