(I posted this as a reply to another thread earlier, but I don't think it'll get noticed by the right people in a thread entitled 'I was right!' SMILEY)

I don't mind that they've done certain things to Hacker/Coder abilities, like decrease Stun time, increase the casting time of Dev Field and the like.

What I have an issue with is the Viral Accuracy/Defense inbalance.

I know that it's possible for someone to get up to nearly 200 points of Viral Defense without too much effort. However, I have done all I can to get my Viral Accuracy up, and can only just reach 100 points. Sound fair?

It has become a time-consuming process to kill even a one-chevron NPC one level above me! This isn't right. Okay, they reduce the damage done by my attacks, fine - Hacker/Coder abilities are no longer teh pwn. But considering that I no longer even hit them with my attacks every attempt means the time taken to kill an NPC has at least doubled! If you're going to take away my hit-rate, at least decrease the re-use timers or increase the damage. It hasn't become difficult to kill NPCs, just more time-consuming and boring.

Or am I missing something and people are getting more than 102 Viral Accuracy? If so, how on Earth did you do it? (I'm level 50.)

Best way is to use 'Upgrade Attacks' from the Arbalest Tree. It can boost your va up to 100 points (depending on attributes)

Yes. SMILEY At least it flippin' ought to be. I get 60-odd points out of it without my influence bonuses. I'm worried now. *Checks.*

Yeah, it's levelled to 50. So is Effective Code (or something like that) - the ability above that one which actually grants the Hacker Style.

I think around 130-140 viral accuracy is the norm.  Ive heard as high as 242 with upgrade attacks.  Either your missing something in your loadout or your stats are set up wrong.  I cant tell you how to do it since I dont use that tree but 100 viral accuracy is definately on the low side.

What loadout can get 200 viral defense?  I havent cracked 165 with gunslinger/duelist and thats with 30 belief.

See, that's what I'm wondering. Either I'm missing something (if what you say is right, evidently I am), or Viral Accuracy is unbalanced.

Are there no Hackers out there willing to help? Please tell me your Viral Accuracies.

It might be releated but the stats screen is all screwed up.  My accuracy and defense numbers vary so much day to day.  I dont really understand why.  Yesterday my viral deffense was 150 and now its 131.  My ballistic accuracy was 117 and today its 111.  I havent changed anything in my build.  Something weird is going on.

Another stupid question, Are you launching hacks from the coder tree? and if so is your Write code ability fully levelled?

As far as your numbers changing... I noticed in CR2 that your numbers on your Combat details screen can +-3 pts... perhaps the range is wider now?

Check your details screen change tabs and then look back at it... it should change again.

My MA Accurancy is 175, your gear is the main food for your stats, for good Viral Accuracy wear Viral Accuracy gear fully from head to toe.

This new combat sys is great, your gear is the key.

Are you self buffing with combat enhancement or anything like that?  If thats just with clothes then thats impressive.
