EPN are bad enough, dearies, but this "Libertas Verus" crew and their captain, Uticensis, really tried to take the cake. I suppose they decided they just weren't annoying enough as plain old EPN, so they took off on their own, got their hands on some code bombs, and, well, you know how these things end. Fortunately, we were quick enough to defuse some of them, but dear, dear, dear... ~V~e~i~l~

Absolutley awesome event. Requires a bit more well-timed coordinated effort than most, though, and I don't think Syntax was organized at all. I hope we'll all be ready next time.
And oh ho ho, playing around with the fire virus was fun.

I dont think it was right that only the Liaisons got the papers to defuse the bombs. I thought I was gona get the last hit in on Uticensis but his own flame virus killed him . all n all it was a fun event.

Yes, the only bad part of the event was the suicide thus no chance for a reward.
Other than that, this event was awsome.

So far, I've seen no reason not to support them.

One reason would most likely be exile from whatever group you are currently with. Noone wants to be associates with codebombs, not even the EPN and and especially not zion. And truly, if you strongly support them, i dont see your faction tag changing to Libertas Veritas..

I want to see Libertas Verus burn as much as the next man, but oh! The sweet irony of Cypherites calling them monsters.

You are deluding yourself if you think that bluepill deaths and a threat to the simulation is going to make the Machine back down, indeed it'll only make the Machines and our resolve stronger. Or do you truly believe, as these fanatics do, that the Machines will perish if the simulation is brought down?
Libertas Verus were trying to send a message to the Machines, it looks like Machinist, Cyph, Zion, EPN and Merv sent back a message of their own. While we all have our viewpoints we will not stand for those who will kill innocent lives, Human and program alike, especially on a futile crusade.

Libertas Verus were trying to send a message to the Machines, it looks like Machinist, Cyph, Zion, EPN and Merv sent back a message of their own. While we all have our viewpoints we will not stand for those who will kill innocent lives, Human and program alike, especially on a futile crusade. It's the intent, not the use. And what should be recognized here is that bluepills are casualties - indirect hits. Anyone using code bombs should aim to minimize the casualties while causing significant damage to the System. However, it is accepted that a few will take a hit, and it's a necessary sacrifice. The intent is not to find and kill bluepills, like, say, a few Machinists who "broke up" a riot.
There's only one way to really tell if they'll take the simulation down. If nothing else, I do hold the hope that the Machines would yield to the simple terms of a once-respected Truce before they let it reach the point where a damaged System would kill bluepills. But that's well within their power, and you can't go blaming me if they don't want it to stop. But there's no need rehashing what's already been said elsewhere. No one likes a code bomber. That's what makes it work. You just have to stay alive long enough to see your plan through. As for my personal affiliations, since when has it been required to join a group to carry out a plan? I have my own means and my own methods, and I need not submit to someone as loudmouthed as their leader. Plans generally work out more often when you don't announce them to the whole world.
