Would there really have been so much lag in this event if the radio stations weren't announcing where the security guards are?Let me give you an example. At one point I was waiting around at Eshean Park. According to the /who command, there were only 24 people in the area. A security guard showed up. It was announced on a radio station that a guard is at Eshean Park, and the DJ encouraged people to head down there. It didn't take long before the /who command gave me "Too many names to display".No offense to the radio stations. But if they weren't telling the population of the servers where the security guards are, then maybe everyone would be spread out amongst the eight concert venues. In doing so, the security guards will come to you instead of you going off to them, creating a caravan of lag.I'm not saying I'm right, but honestly, in Eshean I didn't experience any lag until the population of the server converged on the area due to a radio announcement.

About 20 seconds after something happens everybody in the game who has a faction knows it.Hmm. True. But is this right? I remember one time when the Oracle appeared in Debir Court on Syntax. There were only a half dozen of us, maybe a little more. We decided not to tell anyone because we wanted a nice, quite LE appearance. I went through that entire experience with no lag. Then I saw screenshots of similar Oracle appearances on the other two servers. Debir was packed.I'm not attacking anyone, but I believe players should take at least some responsiblity in the stability of the servers. Instead of people telling their friends, who tell their friends, who tell their friends, etc.
