When I worked in a call center I trolled the forums, read sport articles online, and chatted on web messenger (MSN via webpage) so, I kept myself amused...somehow.

I used to watch TV shows or movies online at work, got me addicted to hero's doing that.

Heh. I have one of those Creative Zen Visions that plays videos. Over the course of the summer, I watched all 5 seasons of Babylon 5 and 4 seasons of the X-Files. While at work.

Don't tell my boss.

Seriously though, I find that cheap sci-fi that you can listen to without really watching is perfect while I work. Countless hours of writing software and testing hardware were made easier by the quips of Agent Mulder.

Listen to WOR.

Read secrets. A lot of them are stupid and I shake my head and think, wow, sooo many dumb people in the world. Some of them are really gross, too.

Catch up on some of my friends' blogs. I'm really bad at this though.

Read the news. I loved the front page of the LA Times today.

Read XKCD. And PhD

Catch up on the Mac world.

Go for a walk, get some lemonade from the Chipotle, or go visit my friend who works in another building across campus.

Shop for geek toys for myself.

Shop for other people .. hey, Christmas is soon approaching.

/as

I play PsP's on particularly boring days of school. I have yet to be caught. SMILEY

  • Troll DN1 and other message boards
  • Play MxO (and recently Spore too)
  • Go in the newsroom and watch... the news.
  • Watch TV shows online (Discovery Channel's Project Earth most recently)
Pretty much everything I do at home.

They don't give us much leeway at work for doing non work stuff, but I usually act like I'm studying the blueprints on the computer, while browsing the net on my iPhone.

Work~boring class, I work hard on trying to find a system/program that will run through the campus's nefarious network firewall (current project: IM program: Google Talk - looks very promising) and playing offline games on my laptop. The teachers here don't really give a s*** and the classes are so easy I don't really need to be there anyway. XD
