I can't speak for everyone who has been commenting in this topic but to my knowledge no one is saying that the Redpill Alliance is saying to boycott the game or to stop logging in. That is quite obviously counter intuitive. Why would anyone want to help a product they do not use?
As far as the lowbie population goes I think having some parties and events near Uriah could possibly help matters. I seem to recall there being a Zion faction that used to haunt the Uriah area helping new players. Whatever happened to them? Maybe if we can get things organized enough with the Redpill Alliance we can start those parties or even a faction of alts for the sole purpose of finding new players and helping them. Something that is a point of frustration with me is to see certain members of the community who seem to stick around for the sole purpose of making life difficult for new players by making elitist comments, telling the new players the game is over or even telling returning players that 'such and such' faction is dead and they are wasting their time and money even playing.
Or what is even better, getting new players to flag for pvp for a quick kill. It's not a breach of TOS but there is a point where people should choose to grow up and enter the world of adults. I promise having a shred of maturity isn't as painful as it may seem.
But like it has been said before...what would MXO be without its drama kings and queens... >_>

Go to Tabor Park West. You're much more likely to get assistance, advice and see some RP. Mara Central is the OOC Lounge most of the time.

Absolutely. One of the reasons why I always wonder when players suggest the starting hardline be set to Mara C. Mara C does definitely have it's purpose, but other than the fact people are usually around there I just don't see it as a solid place for new players who come into the game for the first time. Anyway, as Nin and others have said, being overly negative (particularly when you don't offer any sort of "solution" at all) isn't helping anything. If you don't enjoy the game at all anymore, then just leave it alone and find something you do enjoy.

IMO there isn't a solution , thats why I'd choose to be negative about it . Don't get me wrong I think Mxo is the mutts nuts , but at the end of the day SOE don't give a donkeys bollok about you or me or anybody but themselves . The lack of response or input from the devs/mods would suggest this too , for whatever reason !! Obviously I'd support you in your actions and applaud the effort and thought you give to our beloved game and I'd happily stand corrected . Im off for a dose o RP down the Pub .

Any recent developments Phrack? And I hate to sound like a broken record but do you think it would be possible to have some sort of chat/forum on the alliance page? That way those who want to be in on this can maybe get a little better organized and we can pool our thoughts and ideas. ^_^

The ability to help this game is not on some website, it's not in some story some guys wrote and just said, yup that's good enough, lets go with that, the matrix story should've always been for us, by us, not writen by bs devs. They should randomly pick a player, give that player the ability to be teh bad guy for the month, give em lvl 60, ability to spawn npcs, and then we could create our own kick arse stories, but sadly, we are givin nothing, so all we can really do is pvp, rp, or just farm, or do what peeps on teh forums do, create edrama. Edrama, it's not just for high school girls anymore. lmfao!

Well, I've gotten a few e-mails from interested parties regarding the website and what we're trying to accomplish with it. Obviously, it's still a source of some debate within our community, as well, which is fine... because it's a start. That's all. There is a lot that can be done with the site, and it won't be an immediate fix. It was never designed to be. We won't have immediate answers on how to save the game, but we will have a lot of feedback, and a general consensus of what we want. You're right when you say that any future for this game does not lay on some random website... and I never thought it did. This website exists solely to help catalyze the changes we want for that kind of future to happen. I'll be posting more information as I get it, and hopefully more people will be interested in helping out with this project, as it's going to take a lot of effort on our part to push things along in the direction we want them to go in. There is no "magical fix," and even if there was, it wouldn't happen after just putting up a website. We need people, feedback, logical and intelligent questions and answers, and an ongoing push in our community to want what we should have been receiving for a long time now.
