Secret Santa Feedback

Hey dudes!

Many Syntaxians and Vectorians opted into the ProTax Secret Santa Project last week. People were matched up randomly, and everyone was sent an e-mail telling them who they had to get a present for. (Some people didn't get this e-mail for whatever bizarre reasons, so I'll be sending another one out after I've posted this.)

This 'ere is a feedback thread for the Project! Tell us what you thought of the idea, how you think it was handled, how it could be improved.

But most important of all: tell us what presents you got! Are you happy with what you were given? Let us know, and TheTaxidermist and myself will decide on a best and worst present, the givers of which will receive a prize! (A booby prize for the worst gift, mind, so don't go thinking you can be a miser! SMILEY

)

Remember everyone has until Boxing Day (26th of December) to give their present, so don't complain if you haven't got it yet. SMILEY

While I wasn't back into MxO in time to participate...I simply must commend you on this! It was an awesome idea and I actually talked with a few redpills in Megacity about good presents to give. This is the kind of stuff that made me want to come back to the Matrix.

Feedback, great! I actually had a faction mate (Crypt) draw mah name. Got a cool boss drop! Thanks Crypt!

This was alot of fun! Actually spending a few days thinking of a decent gift, and then farming bosses to get it! Can't wait till next year!

First off, I would like to commend both Procurator and TheTaxidermist on coming up with this idea and the site/database to support it!! They are both great guys and a tremendous benefit to the community. :smileyvery-happy:

I received my gift yesterday morning in an e-mail. It was 2 million in cold hard $nfo!

This was a great idea, maybe we can do similar things throughout the year to keep our community strong. Instead of Secret Santa it could be Secret Admirer.

Please let us know exaclty what you got, and who you got it from, or we cant reward/punish :smileywink: them with prizes.

and tocksic, the person youre matched to, is on YOUR server, else you wouldn't be able to give them their gift now would you? :smileytongue:

remember, you can email items and info, so you dont ave to get into
contact with them to send their gift (unless you decided to be mean and
give them a swift punting:smileywink:)

I don't know how often this happened, but I actually got the same person who got me.

My giver was Comserv, and he went above and beyond any possible expectations for something like this. The dude got me the majority of the dual subs tree, all the way up through the skills you can't even buy ending at the level 50 ability, as well as the items to trade for the Clamor. If anyone deserves some sort of prize in this thing, it's definitely him. SMILEY

... now I just hope he likes what I get him. SMILEY

This was a brilliant idea (and I'm not just saying that because I got such cool stuff).
