Why's it closed?
For the same reason this thread will be closed?

I don't know but I thought it was a pretty healthy thing to ask for a small update about the state of the game.
Luckily, we got the same answer as we had in the Week in review: There isn't really much to talk about. And each time that was said, 6 weeks later MXO got the biggest content updates ever (commando quest, for instance) with Image Retrievals that served as sneak previews but...

But...Meh, there isn't much to talk about I guess so it's better to lock it, so we don't have to talk at all.

I interpret the answer as thus:

"Whenever there's something good that I can tell you, one of the other Developers beat me to it. But I'm working on that Producer's Letter, so there's something you can look forward to!"

Y'know, for some reason, I wanted to type that up to make it look bad, but I don't think I did well. :(

Lamest. Response. Ever.

It did nothing to explain, justify or even confront any of the grander issues we were bringing up, not to mention being pretty much a copy pasta of his reply from every complaint to do with the week in reviews to date.

GG.

I disagree, there IS stuff to communicate - in case you hadnt noticed Rarebit's been doing your job FOR YOU. Get the website updated, get us some recognition in SOE, COMMUNICATE WITH YOUR COMMUNITY and for gods sake wake up from his freakin' bubble you seem to be living in where you can do no wrong.

The balls been dropped, bloody well pick it back up and show us results.

Bah tiredness.

...

(I'll work on a proper response later. If I respond now I'll probably get banned for what I say.)

I can only communicate to the community what is communicated to me so what I give to you guys is the information I get.

The only website I really have control over is the MXO Players site and even then there's a great deal that isn't possible to change or update (aside from articles) since it requires web development time which isn't readily available.

Hopefully that clarifies some of the confusion there.

Now that we have your attention, maybe it would be a good idea for us to go over the old thread again and compile a list of very clear questions that were raised. Certain doubts need to be put to rest.
