When using Escape & Evasion, I know there switching to either Concealment or Line Up the Shot offers the enemy a chance to see you. However, sometimes while shifting from E&E to Conceal I am successful and then interrupted right thereafter -- even with no enemies around. It says that I've moved, interrupting an ability. I'm standing still, and this happens quite often.
So Sniper is a bit broken at times. Not always, but it's a pain in the rear lately.
But this happens after you already stand still, so it's weird. I second this too. It was quite unnerving in PvP.
It's been happening for a long, long time. But lately, it's gotten a lot worse.
Sometimes, it is rubberbanding. An odd "shift" in position knocks you out of conceal, I've seen it happen a few times.
But, often it isn't. Load up Escape and Evasion plus Concealment, folks, and start sneaking inside a building. Go towards the nearest stairwell, stand on top of some stairs, and then switch from Escape and Evasion to Concealment. Odds are, it'll break for absolutely no reason.
Then, there's something else weird; it wont break in the same place twice. If you try it again, it wont break on that same set of stairs, but go up to the next flight of stairs, and it has a chance of breaking on those.
And, oh yeah, even if you're already successfully concealed; if you activate Line up the Shot, there's a chance of breaking concealment. This rules out rubberbanding in this case.
There's also a chance of becomming visible in a cloud of green smoke for absolutely no reason.
Something is clearly wrong with Concealment. It needs to be fixed.

I heard about that too, but that's unacceptable. Can you name any other class that has a random failure in such a manner? Without feedback of any sort, or any interference from other players?
Nothing comes to mind.

no but is there another move ingame which can do 800 damage to somebody with 200 resistance with an ability close to it that upgrades it's accuracy and damage output longer than the original sniper shot Sure: Punt does, and then some, without any damage bonus. So do several IL moves from MA's, again doing more without any sort of damage buff. All classes have their power moves; snipers just have to work a lot harder to use em.
Now, I'm not saying Snipers should hit their targets 100% of the time, but that's not the case. The shot is never gauranteed, and never has been. But I am saying Concealment should work 100% of the time, same as any other sneaking ability.
Donning a disguise in preparation for a punt always works for a Spy without any random failure. Why not for a Sniper using Concealment?
It should not break randomly. It's frustrating. It should not make me visible to others without at least letting me know. It's also frustrating for my target to suddenly rush right towards me because Concealment decided to ghost me for absolutely no reason. It should not have a sensitive enough movement detection to boot me out of concealment if I rubberband slightly. There needs to be some "room for error".

100% agree.
This random concealment bug can be the difference between winning a pvp battle and losing one, if my concealment craps out when someone else is going for a snipe/punt in the middle of a zerg it leaves me exposed and my team mate exposed without any kind of support fire.
It's by far the most frustrating bug next to jump to avoid IL.
Just last night there was an EPN zerg in the camon c church as part of a PET event, myself and my team mate had to make a couple of hits and as soon as i shifted into concealment i'd have people just immediately shoot at me or turn and run in my general direction.

I second that.
It never did this before and it shouldn't now. Concealment breaking in the middle of a zerg is as bad as loosing your shield in the middle of a pit of spies. I don't mind Escape/Evasion breaking but not Concealment.
