Is there any sort of ranking system in the matrix online that gives details on factions and how many members they have as well as other info for pvp? I would like to see what factions have the most players etc before I decide which side I will choose

Nope. Even then it probably wouldn't be acurate as some factions hold members that are either AFK for weeks or just have alts.

Only real way to know how many there is to join them and hope for the best.

You mean there are no figures that say how many popele are Zion or Machine or Merovingain? wow ok so who do you think has the most?

Depends on your server.

Syntax = Machine is biggest org here, Zion is a close second, Merv are behind but growing slowly.
Recursion = Not 100% but I have heard Zion is the biggest here, with Merv in Second
Vector = I have heard that Merv is biggest here, but then again, I am not 100% sure

But just because an org is least populated, doesn't make it any the less active. So if you are an RPer, make your desision on that, if you are a PVPer, do you like a challenge or for it to be easy-peasy. Keep your eyes on what factions you see (make sure you have the /orgnames on so you can see which org the faction is apart of) I have found that small but active factions best, but that is my preference.

I think I might just go Machine. Sounds like a challenge if Machines have the lowest population on Recursion SMILEY

I thought Zion was the biggest org on Vector. :O

I'm pretty sure Zion is the biggest org on all THREE servers. They just don't come out of the woodwork too often unless it is an event (when they show up in droves).
Just my thought. But yeah, go Mech!

Merv would be the smallest in Recursion. Machines/Cypherites would be a close 2nd to Zion/EPN.

However, due to the time differences in most players, it's usually even until about 5 or so pm PST, that's when the Machines pvp.. if what they do is called that.

If you want a challenge, go Merovingian.

You'll pvp with few numbers quite a lot, unless you double team with machinists or zion. However, if you can persuade the many 'colorful' characters that that organization has to offer, they can be good meat shields.

Recursion: Zion is the Biggest org, I think machines are now second (since the death of IP Conflict)
