I really enjoyed this mission...especially after seeing that live event post by Agent Gray, nice sense of 'oooh whats going on here then?' even though very little was actually needed to be done.
Kinda like where the story is going, even though i have no idea where that is

Good to get back to the war between Zion and the Machines. This was an intriguing mission, a logical conclusion would be the Machines have given Mauser Jacks and are using him to get at Zion but we will see.

From a technical standpoint, I'm pretty sure it would be nearly impossible to give someone jacks as an adult. But hey, less believeable things happen right?

We have to assume adults were given jacks at the end of the original war. Illyria

I was hoping we would get to see Mauser, if that's really who Colt says they saw!! This whole thing is getting too weird! But I noticed like everyone else they never really found a body for Mauser so maybe he did survive? I hope so!!

Perhaps. I think the captured humans were likely experimented on in order to gain a greater understanding of the functions of the human brain and how it could be rigged up. However the complexity of the connections needed to properly simulate a world and our every interaction with it would likely require that it is set up while the brain is growing.

I postulate that it would be possible for them to give an adult sockets for a jack but with side effects and probably the eventual rejection of implants by the body, possibly leading to death.

We should also consider the alternative - that humans with some sort of technology are able to enter the matrix without the use of neural jacks. I'd assumed that Halborn and Carlyne had the ability to do something of the kind, with their technology being superior to ours, but if Mauser, a freeborn from Zion, also has the capacity well then there are big implications for the future of humanity/ the Matrix.

Yeah, I was under the impression that Halborn and Carlyne were jacking in via a wireless interface. No cables or holes whatsoever.

Could explain Halborn's interest in Neo's ability to destroy the Sentinels...

I'd have to rewatch Revs, but I swear Mauser was pod-born, or we just never got a good enough shot of him to see if he had jacks or not.
