After a massive amount of deliberation, I am going to be leaving MxO indefinately.

The game just doesn't hold the same appeal for me as it used to, as i'm sure a lot of you will agree.  I do still see huge potential, but right now, it feels almost a chore to jack-in to the Matrix, only to be sat warming a bench somewhere, staring at a static screen.

I'm usually one of the first people who will say that the game is as fun as you make it - however right now, I have done all I can to enjoy the game, from organising Player Events, to DJing for Split Infinity, to Roleplaying.

No doubt I will still keep my eyes on these forums, and will more likely continue writing stories in the Next Renaissance section... and i'm sure I will show my head for the occasional 30minute session every time we get new criticals or new Live Events, but for all intents and purposes, i'm done.

I'll be in-game occasionally over the next few days as I finish off my current RP story, however after that, i'll be focusing my attentions to other things.

To the old Output community, thank you for making the bulk of my playing time enjoyable.  To people like Euphraxia, Kanjo, Revolt, P0ET, Phunkyfella, aMUSiK, Jamicus... to the listeners of Split Infinity and all of my fellow DJ's, to our party regulars, Shadow, Kisani, Asagi and Sazcha - god rest her soul - a huge huge thank you only exceeded by my apologies to anyone I forgot...

To the RP community, who gave me a reason not to leave following the server merge, who have unleashed my creative juices and enriched my playing experience over the last month or so; Aiyalla, Espi, Zealot, Fygment, Dare, Gami, Cheshire, Jobi, Sykin, Gnev and many many more - keep doing what you all do best, and I hope the issues amongst the community are laid to rest sooner rather than later.  There is far too much potential going to waste right now.

For my character, the door remains open, as anyone interested in my stories will see once they are finished - however for me, the chapter is closing.

Thank you all once again,

Miky/KingCAW

Man, last night you proved once and for all who's the best DJ in all of the Matrix...

I guess I shouldn't be surprised because I had the same feelings too.
I'm going to stay to see the Combat Revise and if that doesn't make
gameplay better I don't know what next.

Until then I will say I understand why you're going to be a virtual
ghost in the system, and I'll be happy to talk to you on AIM or MSN,
whatever you got--And listen to Split Infinity forever, heh. You
brought some great stuff to the community and I salute your amazing
effort as a roleplayer for your first time when the servers merged.

Long live the King...

Seriously, your rp was amongst the finest, your story was one of the best.  Just make sure you keep writing, and keep in touch.

I dunno. I am gutted that you are calling it a day amigo. Had some very very good times.

Guess I had better install MxO on my shiny new system so I can get in and "tie up a few loose ends" :smileywink:  Just make sure that you have a massive party before you go...

In the immortal words of Vinnie Jones.... "Its been emotional"

Kingcaw,

Although we never RP'ed together, I know how you feel.  Was here from August '04 (Beta) through June '05 before leaving until September 29, 2005.  Even after the past two weeks, I'm already done.  I think SOE has a shot to really make the game something, but that takes time.  As it stands, too many of my friends in the RP community (and top teir RP'ers in my book) have already left.  There are like one or two on my buddy list that log in anymore (and when I first came back, there were over 20 online at any one time), and that dropped like that in just the past 2 weeks.

For me, even though I duck in every once in a while to RP something with Cheshire now, I'm pretty much back in CoH/CoV with my RP group there, and just started EQ2 on an RP server (and loving it).

You are right, a game is as fun as you make it.  And even though Bosatsu is merely lvl 22 due to a storyline that saw him reinserted and started over when freed again, one can only do so much.  Player Events that I am interested in (I know the masked run P.E.s and I have nothing OOC against their stuff, just not my RP cup of tea) are now few and far between since so many have left, I already did my part organizing them on old Linenoise before leaving in June (and it requires more time to create than I currently have to dedicate), parties just don't seem as fun as they once did (have done too many perhaps), and I'd rather watch the grass grow than grind the current mission system.

So, I'm hoping old faces come back after the upgrades.  If not . . . well, MxO will remain on the Access Pass since it doesn't cost me any extra, but I'll be in Paragon City/Rogue Isles and Norrath should that be the case.

Remaining,

Bosatsu.

As our western friends like to put it..

It ain't over till the Fat Lady sings...

And by that I mean that as far as I am concerned, KingCAW is still a Split Infinity Radio DJ, and he'll always be as long as he chooses to.

A farewell notice on the mxo forum is not what I consider to be a "goodbye SI" note. I haven't had any formal notice from Miky, (or informal for that matter).

So as far as the radio goes, nothing is over yet, until King and I have a talk. And I promise I won't let him go that easily =P.

So Miky lad.. find me on msn some time ok?

Sorry to see you go King.

You're a good guy.

You're always welcome to come back... you know that right?
