If you remembers from the first appearence of the LED Agents, we learned from Neo's own final thoughts, that the monuments were left behind for us, to guide us. Hmm, while I'm not sure that this is Neo, whatever it is is very powerful. Perhaps another previous One? Or maybe it IS an intruder, something not from the Matrix... guess we'll have to see.

What if they where there to guide Neo back?

Quite possibly, the Red Pills have never had a use for them besides having parties or stuff like that. Maybe the Intruder/Neo/Whoever will have a better use for them.

((Which event was it where the Monuments started to decay?))

Death of the Destroyer. And I really wish someone had screenies of that. Those were the days. Everytime I ask about those screenies, nobody seems to have any.

The moments started to decay towards the end of "The Hunt for Morpheus".

And where does this "Neo made the monuments" thing come from?  Sister Margaret's first mission says that the Sculptress created the monument in Mara.  She probably created at least a few of the others.

The Culpres.... erm Sculptress you say? 0.o Does this "Sculptress" be in a link to "The BoxMaker" and "The KeyMaker"? Hell cant have a key or box without one to craft "sculpt" the objects =P just my imagination tho =S

Hmm...I kinda think they were trying to extract the One program from Neo, and it escaped. This is the RSI-less One program, who without a human shell is much more dangerous to the Machines.

((doubt it but thought it was cool when I though of it SMILEY ))

Umm, in the first event where we had to collect Neo's RSI fragments. Had his last thoughts while Smith was copying him, and after he was copied. If I remember correctly, they said he left the monuments behind for some purpose, but I dont think I have any screenshots of those unfortuantly.

The constant changing in size could be due to a lack of a shell.

Prepare yourselves.  I can see the pieces in motion.  The implications are endless.  For how long has Zion blamed the Machines for everything with Neo/Morpheus etc... I am prepared for everything to change.

Sexy...just sexy

All I gotta say is I'm so freakin' happy they finally gave Roger's Way a central spot in active storyline, given the region's history!!!   SMILEY

OOC: Is it just me or is Chadwick getting beyond lazy with these cinematics. Is he even trying anymore? Firstly, he uses in-game environments instead of drawing his own cause he's lazy. I wouldn't mind if it looked good or if it's a mix between in-game and hand drawn it would be a cool touch, but now it just looks terrible. The scaling of the powerful wire-frame entity was also laughable as he "ran" up the street. Also, I agree that the crowd should have turned into Agents, I didn't know Agents could just appear out of thin air. It was a cool cinematic, no doubt, but Chadwick really needs to beef up the presentation, that was horrendous, to be blunt.

Anyway, to discuss the actual cinematic, I always figured we'd see Ascension Monument have significance. That door must lead somewhere.. bout time we see it in action. IMO, here's my theory on the wire-frame entity. It is slightly possible it is Neo, however I believe it must be that mysterious man surrounded by the A.I. in the Real. Remember, he somehow was watching the events between Neo and Deus Ex. How did he obtain these? It's improbably he was given records, so this leads me to believe he hacked into the machine database to achieve these recordings. This further leads me to believe that he could obtain any and all information that is held into the machine database. Thus, he somehow found a way to hack into the Matrix, either jacking in himself, or controlling this wire-frame entity in his HQ that would transcend the machines dominant power over the system, as he displayed with his quick dealing with the Agents. It is also possible that the Ascension Monument could lead to a construct in which this mystery mans presides and unleashes this wire-frame entity. Either way, we now know he presents a serious threat to the machines and the entire simulation, and for this he must be stopped.

I don't think this is Chadders' fault. He only does the storyboards, not the animation. And the scaling isn't a problem apart from when he's next to the Agents: the Intruder is big.

((Well, yeah, I have to agree with you about Chadwick, there, Remag. We haven't had a new Sentinel in ages, neither the Kid's nor the General's blogs have been updated, and he's schlubbing it on the cinematics. What the hell are we paying him for if this is all he does? And yes, I do mean we.))

Uh...we have a different guy than Chadwick that does the cinematic art. I'm pretty sure he just comes up with the concept art, unless I'm mistaken.
I disliked the scale of the guy at the end, cuz he looked 20 feet tall instead of 7-8, but other than that I thought it looked good. I think the devs are trying to make up for no longer having in-game cinematics.
