Easy, nigh-unlimited power: forever the dream of the vain and grasping. Rare enough that such is found, much rarer still that it is retained; and in what a small percentage of that even more miniscule number is it kept to the profit of the winner. The Merovingian is not such a fool as to place all his trust in such fleeting chances, yet the gambler and sybarite within him cannot resist the play. These dissipative elements of his core program make him bold, unpredictable; thus far, they have made him a power to be reckoned with throughout our world's small pantheon. Will his mercurial genius hold him in favor still, or will his daring play at last catch him up? As one once thus entangled in Decima's web, I hold my hand hidden, watching the darlings of fortune carefully...so very carefully.

I find it somewhat abstract that a servant such as yourself wields such cannons.

It's amusing how much the Merovingian contradicts himself... Pity the Machines' offensive didn't quite work.

Sometimes sacrifice is nescesary...I'm still laughing at all of the human deaths resulting from Zion, or ministries of Zion, tact. Not to mention the whole Cypherite fiasco...the barges, the ships, the operatives all lost due ill-planning and assumption. I'd take a few casualties to test success, rather than to tempt failure.

Likewise. Besides someone has to be a victim.

As ever it is for the Merovingians to take the descisive and brave steps in the best interests of the Matrix. Anome has demonstrated his incompetence in weilding such power, once we have synthesised these cheat codes we will put a final end to this threat....... If along the way Zion or Machine 'morals' are offended then it simply confirms how short sighted those organisations have become!
