Well recently on Syntax, I farmed a good amount of SSR gum to sell on the marketplace.  So last i heard 1 sold for a bout 1 million so a stack of 20 should be around 20 mill (let me know if the value decreased recently).  Well, I notice the stacks of 20 aren't selling so I attempted to de-list a few and spilt them up into singles or smaller quantities.  Well when I did so I noticed that instead of delisting the item, the system log tells me that I BOUGHT the item!  My own item!  All I have to say is *CENSORED*??

Now I noticed when you list an item there's a Fee column, I always figured that this was a small fee for having an item sell on the marketplace.  So if i have an item for 500 info and a fee for 100 info, I assume I've made 400 info for selling this item.  I have no idea if this is correct anymore.  Also I noticed that some of the Fees are equal to the price of the item.  I have another stick of SSR Gum selling for 20 million and there is also a Fee listed at 20 million.  Does this mean I both make and loose 20 million!?  Or is this the fee I must pay in order to de-list the item I'm selling?  I'm not quite sure anymore.

Also what exactly calculates the fees in relation to the items listed?  Does each item have a price cap and anything over that becomes equal value?

I submitted a /ccr in game in hopes that someone could explain this all to me, but it seems that they can't, won't, or don't have the time to.

Anyone else encounter this?  If so, I can see why no one uses the market place anymore since you loose more money than you make by using it.

It's a de-listing fee I believe. If you keep items on the market-place and they don't sell, over time the de-listing fee becomes higher.

Use the Marketplace forums in Syntax, in hopes of not having to deal with the Marketplace like I do.

Fees were set up to prevent people from using Marketplace as a storage system with a 999,999,999 price -- to get the item back from MP, you have to pay a fraction of its price. As time goes by, that fraction gets bigger, until eventually you have to buy it yourself.

I'm not sure this is really needed anymore, as the original intent (preventing MP as storage) no longer applies with the 12 items-per-email change as of late.

I see.  I didn't realize they did that.  I'll use the forums for now on.  As for th stuff that's on there, it'll be there until it sells as I have less than 20 mil to spare and I might need it later.

I'm not sure, but I thought there was some sort of mechanism that after a server restart it reset the items that have reached the maximum de-listing price?

Yeah, you're right.  Why ask about something I didn't understand?  I mean I should just keep loosing 20 million at a time just because I'm a greedy jerk and deserve it, right?

Go away.

Also, I don't think a piece of gum is worth 1 mil anymore.  It takes like, a minute to get a piece of gum and a lot of people that wanted them already got them.  I sold for about .5 mil each.
