I just read this topic on creating a new district etc, and one of the most important throw backs with it is "We don't use downtown anyway why put in another district that wont be used."  This got me thinking....why do you not mission in downtown when you hit 33?....because it allows you to go back to ritchland and mission there easily. Now i know for sure that when i hit whatever level it is in 20's and it sends me to westview its a pain in the arse...but it did get me to westview didnt it? So i pose this idea:

Force level 33-49 to mission in downtown; Missions wont spawn in ritchland or international only in downtown untill they hit 50, then they can mission anywhere.

This might hurt the Pl industry SMILEY as you cant level unless your in the "section" of levels. they'll be grouped in three stages:

Low: 1--20 (ritchland)
Medium: 20-33(westview)
High: 33-49 (Downtown)

As much as I want to see people move out of Richland, people already hate the grind and being forced into the large office blocks of Downtown we make people a lot more angry.  I would rather see events, quests and other things to push us into Downtown.

Level 50 players would have a hard time leveling their lowbie friends if they weren't able to do missions

Richland an Westview are perfect for missioning for any level!

Say on Vector, we can take pot shots at others missioning from opposing orgs!

I prefer missioning in downtown.  I have been missioning my Vector character in downtown since lvl 38.  I disagree with the idea of Westview being perfect for any level as it sends me (with my lowbies) to areas where the gangs are 4 to 7 levels higher.

Yeah, mishing in Westview just doesn't work well based on the mission location rules that are currently used.  This has been broken since the reflow when the enemy difficulty flow in Westview was reversed but the mission locations weren't changed.

As to the topic at hand of forcing players above a certain level to go to Downtown... hmmm.  Not a terrible idea, now that the lag hole has been fixed.  The large offices and whatnot are a pain in the butt, but they are still better than those silly delapidated buildings in Westview with the half missing walls.

Personally, I prefer mishing in International if I'm helping someone level, but that's just me.

I'd rather stay in Richland because I want to. Downtown is just a nightmare if I want to help my lowbie friends.

Thanks for that, i see its phisically impossible to *force* someone into missioning there, the only reason we're *forced* into westview is its technically one district. *sigh* SMILEY

Edit: to the people who said i don't want to go to downtown because i have to work harder and ritchlands easier... why? wheres the fun in running boring repetitive missions in the same place where you can see a place that you've seen once in a blue moon. Its tough missioning there but things arn't always easy and at this stage i'd like to see a bit of a challange.

There's a difference between a challenge and a frustration. It's bad enough that we have to spend hours on end killing 5 million NPCs a day just for the sake of getting red frags to get the abilities we want for our trees, it's bad enough that players go broke trying to upgrade those trees, and it's bad enough that NPCs keep exploiting glitches on us (i.e. The 0,0,0, coordinate bug making NPCs leave mission areas, and NPCs hitting us 30 meters away with measly handguns, or even hitting us with a hack when they happen to be in a different room) preventing us from getting our hard-earned money and XP without having to constantly abort and restart missions. The last thing we need is people quitting the game because they're ganked by gang members ten levels above them when they're halfway to fifty. Just by that logic that you're throwing at us, it's as absurd as expecting someone to kill a tank with a 9mm handgun in real life.

Climb on top and open the hatch.  If you catch them by surprise you have a chance to eliminate the crew before they shoot back.  Then it's your tank and you can destroy it how you like.

Right, depends on how close you are. If you're a mile away, chances are your limbs would get blown off from either the tank shell, or the .50 caliber Machine gun.

Well that's the good thing about MxO, we can HL wherever we want to go SMILEY

Wait, what was the topic again?
