so my ati 9800xt finally fried....a great excuse to build a new box.
even Knowing about the nvidia lag issues i went with a 9800 GTX anyway O.O
Specs:
Chip : Intel CPU Core 2 Quad Q9300 2.50GHz FSB1333MHz L2-6MB LGA775
Mobo: Asus Motherboard P5N-T Deluxe NVIDIA nForce 780i SLI LGA775 FSB1333MHz 4DDR2 SATAII RAID Audio Gb LAN IEEE1394 ATX

HDD: x2 : Western Digital HD WD5001ABYS 3.5" Internal 500GB SATA2 7200rpm 16MB Bare Drive
Memory: 4gb DDR2 (to start)
PS : Enlight Power Supply ATX 650W 24 Pin 12cm Fan 80Plus ROHS Retail
Case: NZXT CS CS-NT-LEXA-BLR Lexa Blackline Steel Mid-Tower ATX/MATX/Baby AT 4/2/(5) w/o PS Red/Black
and the Vid card: XFX GEFORCE 9800 GTX 512MB DDR3 PCI-E 2.0 7PIN HDTV DVI ADAPTER

gonna run xp pro cause vista blows.....10 down 1 up cable connection...
cept for the indoor lag (and i'm hoping the 'work around' does) i'm thinking not a bad machine....
Opinions??

...you are RAID 0'ing those....right? i got the WD because there 'enterprise' drives and have like 1.2 million work hours or something like that
and i wasnt going to raid them?!?!......was gonna take 1 500 and partion it up like 100 for os and crap than 400 for my movies and pics
the other was gonna be split 250 and 250 one for mxo and anyother games and one for pr0n?????
gimme a good reason to raid them instead and i will.

You should be, if anything, TOO qualified with those specs. I'm quite envious.

Well this is the "Technical" area, So I don't need to pm you the info. It's only available in some areas. My area just got it, Found out from my ex-step-dad that's a local installer.
Isn't cheap tho, lol. 16mb down, 2mb up. Pay around 90-100ish a month, that Includes basic cable and taxes and such.
P.S. I'm One of the 3 Xtreme Overclockers in Michigan, There is me, Vince (K|ngP|n) and Eric (RyderOCZ). There is a few more from XS, But they don't have any records, I currently hold 5th place on highest Overclock on a Q9450, I use to hold 3rd.

Well, I can tell you a few tips right now, I never heard of Enlight as a good company. Also, The Q9300 is limited by the Multiplier. It runs at 333x7, It's max multi is 7. So Even if you overclock it, It's not going very high. P.S. You need to be more specific on the memory.

*A lone tear falls down my cheek*
- 5500 graphics card - 1GB old DDR RAM - AMD 2.10GHZ CPU
I can play in high settings as long as there's no one in the area, and I don't move. Your settings will destroy MxO.

Well, I'm normally running the game at 1920x1080 with 16xQ AA with custom settings, When I had a Decked out X400 useropts, I get 7 fps. lol.
But It looks good =D My sig is not photoshopped, and My Avatar is just brightened since it was dark in the matrix that day.
