That little cel-shaded game? Yeah, I played it for a bit the first day I got it...
It was... kinda fun, but for some reason I can't bring myself to turn it on again. I think it's too.. simplistic? Something. I can't really narrow down my major complaint about it. Suffice it to say, there's something wrong this game that's dragging it down.

I haven't played it yet, and I do want to, but that is actually the main complaint in a lot of the reviews I've read, even the positive ones. By taking out many of the penalties of playing poorly and by streamlining everything as they did, the game supposedly becomes more a case of simple repetition of simple tasks than a full fledged experience.
Just like Assassin's Creed, Shinryu. How many copies did they sell though?
Amongst the inovations in PoP2008, there's the fact that you usually have bout 3 different paths u can take in each area to get to the shrine. Besides that, you can choose many different paths on the world map by activating one of the powers and going to one of the major areas in which you always choose the order. So i wouldn't say it's that redundant, regardless of the fact u always have to heal the area.
I didn't like the artwork graphics design alot either, Squirrely but it's not that bad once you get in the atmosphere.
I personally find the fact that you can talk to Elika at any given time and the lines the character have very entertaining.
Of course, it all depends on what kind of RPGs u like, maybe u're into the point & click
Btw, the first day u got it? When was that rly?
The realationship of Elika and the main character reminds me of ICO..Great game so far.In my opinion,it was a great idea to change the graphic style of the game.
Time for a roof run!
They remade Prince of Persia?
That game came out, what... 5 years ago?

there have been multiple Prince of Persia games in the past few years. From what I understand they have all been pretty good, but I've never played them.
I haven't played this new one but the last couple were alright, some good acrobatic action.
Well, the original PoP came out in 1989, so the series has actually been remade a couple of times.
The Sands Of Time trilogy, the most recent "reboot" of the series, was very good even if the themes of the games varied pretty wildly from the classic Arabian fantasy to Emo overdose.

Hey, I didn't say it sounded bad hehe I didn't get the chance to play much of Assassin's Creed though I did like what I did see.
I still think Sands of Time did it best.. you had a limited capacity to reverse time, and thus erase your mistakes, but the game did still have some challenge to it and if you sucked you could pretty easily run out of Sand.
Ya after watching the videos for this new one, the immediate let down is you can't die because the girl saves you (even though running through the hallways being chased by the darkara* was frustrating if you didn't know where to go) they shouldn't have taken it out that you can fall to your doom. Second was the puzzles idk about the combat yet since that i'm guessing you have to try to get.
It isn't a remake, just a new prince. You know, times come and go, people die, princeses and kings die, they come and go, and others take the thrown. That or they just like to make a new storyline altogether; but not a remake.
I'm okay with the "you can't die" mechanic, because they at least treat it right, unlike Bioshock. If you "die" in combat, the enemy regens a lot of health, and if you "die" in the middle of a complicated jump, you have to start over from the beginning of the tricks, instead of the last checkpoint.
Though I did figure out that if you collect a light seed, then "die," it still counts the collected light seed. >:3
I figured out what I didn't like about Prince of Persia--nothing. It's a great game, just a really acquired taste.
can't argue with tastes heh.
Finished.
I've got one quote, w/o spoiling. those that have been there will know. "This better woooorrk!"
You don't die means you dont have to constantly redo a whole hard passage. There is the multiple plates thing , especially towards the end, which makes it so u have to redo a whole part so that compensates.
My only wish would have been that they made the graphics like in the Ubidays trailer. That'd have been awesome.but still a great game. I love Ubisoft.
