I never even heard of that RPG game, plus I dont like jampaese RPGs so I don't give 2 craps about it.

I won't bother countering your list with my list because it's all subjective and, as you said, that's a tired argument that goes nowhere.  It's apples and oranges.

I will note, however, that Valkyria Chronicles isn't a JRPG per se, it's a tactical strategy game that combines the focused story and character growth of a JRPG with real time action.  Think of it sort of like an RTS where you actually control the individual units, and actually care about them instead of them just being cannon fodder.  It's also scoring in the mid to upper 80% range on gamerankings and metacritic at the moment so, whether it fits into one's tastes or not, it's definitely a title that should be getting better sales than it has.

I agree. VC is one of the few games I'd have bought if I had the console to play it. But buying the console for one game isn't a wise decision ... except if the game is called FF XIII.

And thats coming to 360 now too, so you now have another choice of a system to buy! I'm going to get it on PS3 myself personally, playing a FF game on the 360 just seems wrong :p

yeah especailly when you have to play it with 13 discs SMILEY but FFXIII VS is still a ps3 exclusive

....or is it?

And also, I loved the 20 discs for each final fantasy game on the PS1 and PS2... those were fun times.

I constantly hear people talk about how they do not want a PS3 because it only has a few good games...  Of all the "good games" that are available I count 3 franchises that are exclusive to 360.

Halo

Gears of War

As for PS3...

MGS

Uncharted

God of War

Resistance

Killzone

Grand Turismo

Motorstorm - Same as above.

Both consoles have some awesome franchises xbox 360 also has the DOA and Project gotham franchises too, but everyone i know and game with prefer the Xbox for Online play, the only game that appeals to myself on the PS3 is MGS4 but im not going to fork out hundreds just to play one game.

Honestly, Halo3 was the single reason I wanted a 360... but in retrospect, having now had a good go at both systems I have to say I made the right choice.

The PS3 is technologically more sound, more powerful, has blu-ray.

The 360 meshes into my home network as close to automatically as you can get, plays my media library straight off any windows PC in my house, the DVD drive loads games much quicker, the interface is intuitive enough for my wife to use it to play her downloaded tv shows without my help (I have to help her light the oven). And to be quite frank I've been weeabooed to death. I'm loving the scarcity of "big-swords, pointy hair and subtitles ofver unintelligible shouts in Japanese" titles... yes I know DOA is XBawks but I sold my copy because it got booring and repeditive after about say... oh 1990. (sorry Imax... but Killzone was fun for about 10 minutes, and then I spent the next 2 years hating it).

The 360 gets more useage time than anything else as a media player. If I'm lucky I get to play games on it.

Did I mention just how EASY online gaming is on the 360?

If the games you want to play are only on the PS3 then get that, but if you don't really care and want added ease of home integration then get the 360.

P.S. I also do not own a single Blu-ray disk and haven't bought a DVD in about 2 years.
