I've seen that used/abused so many times at Mara C. it's now just normal to the pvp. In one way or another I will kill them.
Just cause its normal to see the same bunch of people running to go deflag doesn't mean its right. Thats like saying you see the same bunch of people sploiting against roots but just leaving them cause its normal for them.
I was just going along the lines last night of 'if you can do it i'll do it too' but well i won't be, considering it does say that your flag should be back up.
It is quite pathetic. PvP is about attacking and getting attacked, not attacking and bailing so you can't be attacked till you decide again. Defeats the whole purpose of the pvp timer being there.

I agree that it's annoying and pathetic for those who blue snipe (or blue punt) to run and deflag so they can do it again and again. But the message doesn't say your flag should be back up, it says that normal pvp rules now apply once more, in non-hostile servers this means when you're unflagged, you remain unflagged until /pvp or attacking a hostile player.
Should it be changed so that the pvp timer resumes upon leaving or that the timer continues but the flag is dropped only when in the club (which means those who do it would have to stay in the club for the remainder of the time until they naturally deflag)? I would be all for that but I gather its technically difficult to code in a pause to the timer or to disassociate the flag from the timer.
One reason why a hostile server is better than non-hostiles. Is it CCR'able? I tend to doubt it, yes it's cheap, yes it tends to kill pvp most of the time but the pacification zone does what it's supposed to do. It deflags a player and upon leaving a pacification zone, unless you wander into a pvp zone, the server pvp rules apply. I'm sure it's been CCR'd countless times but personally I've not heard of anyone being warned for doing it continuously or anything. It's a trait of non-hostile servers which most of us who pvp on non-hostile servers have gotten used to and react to in a few ways.
Suppose you could be right Cro. Just can't believe some so called 'pvpr' stoops so low lol The way i see it is theres a pvp timer, so your flag should be up until the timer goes out. When you log into the game, does it say normal pvp rules apply? Does on vector for obvious reasons so if not, the game still thinks that your flag should be up.
During pvp its alright but its when its low numbers, 2 v 2 v 1 and then the wimp starts doing it, just makes it not good pvp at all. Tbh i think i'd prefer to hunt on a 'dead' vector that patricipate on that sort of crapiness. Was just a pity last night i knew it would be another zion/mach love fest on vector. 2 top CQ guys don't go for each other.. means others fall in suite, boo.

Spam aside, this is truth.
Leaving a pacification zone does not RESUME your PvP status, it RESETS it. So by leaving it, your world rules apply once more. It's not an exploit, it's just an annoyance. It's really no different than suiciding out of PVP, being recalled out of a fight, logging out to rid DE or entering a duel to deflag.
Now back in the day while they were nerfing MKT, there was a short time where Sever Artery could be used against a hostile and it wouldn't flag you. You could knife someone to death and never flag.

DA** YOU squirrel, faster than me. I still got the original sized smiley ... when MxO goes down I'll post them a few times ^^
*lol @ extra large smiley*
Perhaps if they moved the pacification zones to clubs and fight clubs that are rather far from other hardlines this will reduce the frequency in which people can repeatedly take advantage of them. Admittedly I occasionaly use them to deflag myself if I just finished some PvP and want to move straight onto PvE or farming without waiting 5 minutes for my flag to drop.

I just wan't to point out to Mr.BrucyManFromVectorWithNobuffs that Dev's have been knowing of the "root sploit" for a very long time. It was even used in some LE's and well known to RB. Still this problem is not fixed, but don't blame the players for that, we are paying them to fix these kinds of problems.
I agreed it's sucks big time and it's very cheap and kills pvp etc. etc. etc. But I can't, You can't and no other player can stop it. Guess who can?

You can't stop the beat.

Off switch?
<_< >_>
This is annoying, but it's not an exploit. An exploit is the use of a bug to gain unfair advantage. This is the cheap use of something that is perfectly legal.
