As it is currently, the main awakened ability does virtually nothing... You have to level it to 50, yet it doesnt really grant any spectacular buffs, or anything thats really worth while, just a little bit of stealth detection.
How it used to be is that as you leveled up your awakened ability, your awareness of the matrix grew, and you became stronger. Under the current build (CR2), where a level 1 should have a chance to be able to hit a level 50, you cant really have the awakened ability be how it used to be, where as you level it you gain alot more accruacy and defense. So keeping that principal in mind, the reason Im starting this thread is to maybe brain storm some idea's of how some non combat modifying buffs could be implimented to make this ability more rewarding to level up.
Some Idea's I have on the top of my head.
-between levels 1-10 each time you level the awakened ability, you gain 1 point of super jump. Reason for the buff is that, well as a lowbie, your hyperjump ability sucks, you virtually go straight up and come straight back down. I know when I first started the game, first thing I wanted to do like many other players was hyperjump around. The hyperjump ability in the game is one of the true uniqe things that makes the game feel matrix like, and for a new player if your hyperjump skill is one of the first things your looking forward to trying out once you reach level 10, it can be a bit dissapointing at first when you realize its limitations until you level up a bit more. The reasoning for levels 1-10 is that unless you have hyperjump beta, you dont get HJ until level 10, which means by the time you get to level 10 you'll already have a 10 pt bonus, so the first time you load up hyperjump, you'll be able to jump quite a bit further. The implications for a level 50 are that in pvp, if you have hyperjump beta, you'll be able to jump a little bit further than just the 10 points the ability naturally has. However, with there being a hyperjump modifier on seraphims, and the ability to put on a taskmaster cap, I truely think the end implications of adding a few points of hyperjump onto awakened would be truely limited.
-reduced falling damage. A simple concept really, as you level up your awareness of the matrix grows, and as such as you level up and become more aware thus realizie that falling in the matrix cant hurt you because it is not real. Now this one by its self isnt that much of a biggie, and wont have any implication for a level 50 character to speak of just because of our high health points. But this modifier could be more beneficial for a lowbie toon just because of the fact that when your a low level you dont have crap for HP, so jumping of a really tall building can take a good chunk of your health out. So while its not that big of a change, its still something that would add more meaningfulness to the awakened ability.
-Increased Jump, not super jump, just plain jump. For thoes who dont know, or have never looked at the collectors, but the tin cans headgear gives a modifier on it of 10 points jump, which just makes you jump higher when you hit the space bar. Putting on tin cans headgear can allow you to jump up to some ledges and platforms that you would other wise have to hyperjump to. What would this do for lowbies? not much. What would this do for 50s? Well when jumping around mara bored, you'd jump higher, but more than that during pvp, some spots where your fighting could become more accessible with out having to hyperjump. It would just be a little something to give the awakened ability more meaning.

I take Hyper Jump as a phase, you start out only being able to jump a few feet of the ground and you eventually get the ability to hyper jump. Yes at level 10 it isn't very high, but would it make common sense if it was? I mean imagine it? That would mean you jump 3 feet now and 300 feet in two minutes. You also have to take into account that Hyper Jump caps about level 30, so that's already 10 levels worth of jumping down. At level 20 you have already mastered Hyper Jump, which I think is a bit ridiculous. Maybe cap it at 25... which maybe it does (I always thought 30), because of Hyper Speed. -reduced falling damage. Okay I quite like this idea, if you can't hyper jump to level 10, why not get higher jumps and THEN you Hyper Jump at level 10. This I think would be pretty cool. It would fit in nicely now with the bunny hops apparently being fixed. Comments, thoughts, ideas? TH
