New Player - What's the server status? Break it down for me!

Yeah, so this is another 'hi I'm new, nned a guild plz' thread. Sorry. But when I start playing an MMO, I like to go into it surefooted and levelheaded. I'm a perfectionist. So, on Vector:

1) Which class combination is the most sought after in PvP groups?

2) Which faction dominates?

3) Which guild dominates?

4) Which guild is the most mature?

I'm leaning toward being support. Healing. Crafting for myself and other people. What class combo would be best for all of this? What do you guys think?

Welcome to Vector Six,

Just an FYI, in MxO, guild = faction, and on top of that you have Orgs (Zion, Machine, Merv). Each org has their time of the day where they outnumber the other 2, so I cant say that any clearly "dominate" atm.

Healing is good for team pvp and theres some nice combos you can use that mix the patcher tree and operative tree - Im sure whatever faction you join can go into further details with you in person.

The best tress i i think for pvp depends on what you feel comfortable with the best way i can say is experement with all trees as much as you can till you find something ur good at

for your 2 questions we really dont have guilds we have factions/crews factions are the big part of wat you join and when some one invites you to a faction you join a crew or you can make your own when you have 16 rep points from your own org but the best factions in my opionon for each org Zion i think Morpheus' legacy Tropers Revolution Epn insurgance Merv Dark Mavrics machines the bigest is ronnin and Cyphs Reviled Restoration.

i think ML the faction im with now were a very good faction well organized we do rp and pvp everything pretty much Same with troopers cant say much bout other factions cause i been mostly zion since my time frame. healler i say upgrade master is good to have esp with pvp gives your players those extra buffs that help in combat

What MMO you from?

Healing is pretty defunct on MxO in terms of single target since merely being interlocked will negate your ability to heal anything but AoE. This lacks the joy and/or finesse that I enjoyed about PvP healing in WoW for example.

Upgrade master WILL help your team win, but you pretty much make yourslef as hated as it gets. You can occassionally kill things like that but against good players you will end up having to roll a LOT. This is not the old days when a UGM could sit and hold against 4-6 players until some bright spark loaded delete upgrade SMILEY

Because PvP in MxO is so goddam pointless heals don't really add a lot most the time. You have no objectives most of the time, no real downside to dying, no upside to winning. You don't do it for better gear, or even limited items. You do it for the joy of killing (which may or may not be related to an *I better than choo* mindset) or perhaps of testing the limits of ability. Can I kill 1 get out? Can I get 1 solo and kill before reinforcements? Can I outwit.outskill.outplay them. Neither Healing (which is so related in my mind to forcing through and making an objective) nor UGM provide those very well. Not for me anyhow.

Since you can switch trees at anypoint I would suggest grinding levels as MA/Guns (piece of pie, but by Gods it will take a long, dull time anyway. Hint to devs - decrease xp per level or increase rewards to make players less suicidal around 36-49). You can then easily switch to Hax/patcher for the last few assuming you'll grind PB3 missions as I did for absurd cash rewards.

Hacker works great for leveling too, and would give you some experience with the loadout (rather than jumping in cold at a later date). Healing is good for group stuff - although I agree that it's easy to become hated when you do - but when you're on your own, you'll be wanting to have something that will keep you alive when you get jumped. And you will get jumped.

LOL is all i can say... If anyone is ever really that bothered about "Reputation" or actually worried about what people think of them... in a game! then jesus.. get a life lol i dislike healing, but yeah. its THERE for a reason. Use it, level with it, every org does the area healers nowerday, and we always have. Just like any game, you use your resources to win " width="15" height="15">
