You don't get to look at her every time you click control+N. Veil and Shimada don't show up when you hit ctrl + N either.

Notes: Each organization has a "controller" whose job it is to guide operatives through their dangerous missions in the Matrix. We're taking this opportunity to give you a close-up of each of the five controllers, complete with "cut out" photos with transparent backgrounds, for easy incorporation into your own images! That is a false statement. The Cypherite and E Pluribus Neo organizations DO NOT have mission controllers. The two maybe splinter organizations, but they are recognized by most in the community as two SEPARATE organizations, just like they're recognized in this image retrieval. I know the idea for missions for EPN and CYPH separately was all ready shot to death, but I would like this to be pointed out and recognized. I know this is making me seem like a jerk, but being a jerk is not my intention. I just want this fact to be noticed and recognized.

So who tells EPN and Cyphs what to do in live events? It can be argued that live events are missions and as such those giving the orders are controlling the operatives. Machinists, Zionites and Merv's have the benefit of a point of contact for their org who gives out missions both critical and standard quite regularly but that doesn't mean that EPN and Cyphs are without their controllers.

 Thank you.
And Vinia. You have a point about controllers in live event "assignments" also classified as missions, BUT Tyndall can not jack into the matrix, so she is not the controller of those "Missions". When you take RP into it you could say Tyndall gives the information to the LE characters, but she really doesn't control those missions. And as odj pointed out, there are several other characters "controlling" live events.

Yeah, but who do you normally get over the broadcast thing telling you to go to the live events?

Yeah, but not normally over the broadcast thing. I'm asking who normally comes over that and tells you where to go? Normally for Zion it's "Tyndall: Please meet your liaison officers for a briefing." or something like that. "Shimada: Please meet Michael at blah blah blah." "Veil: Oh sweeties! Why don't you come on over and meet me at blah blah blah." "Flood: How about you nincompoops get off your butts and meet the Merovingian at blah blah blah." "Agent Gray: Operatives. Come to blah blah blah." See what I'm saying? They're still mission controllers even in live events.

No, syntax doesn't really get the announcement anymore, rarely, if at all. Usually it's Agent Gray, Flood, and last time I was in Zion it was Niobe

All that shows is that each org, has multiple mission controllers, but one point of contact available at any time apart from the Cyphs or EPN who can't get in contact with them. Just because you can't call them directly at any time doesn't mean that Shimada or Veil, Popper or Cryptos aren't mission controllers. As for Tyndall... well, shes a special case. It's the way Zion wanted to arrange it

Notes: Each organization has a "controller" whose job it is to guide operatives through their dangerous missions in the Matrix Notice controller in that quote is singular. I am aware of the Live Events and that we do have multiple controllers, multiple higher ups that bark orders at us as Operatives in MXO BUT, controller being singular this is an obvious reference to our lovely controllers that show up when you hit N on your keyboard. So, Shimada, and Veil, should NOT be listed. I wish they were. I'm not trying to cause an argument though, just, a discussion. -

Do not confuse game mechanics (or lack thereof) with the assigned duties of the these story characters. While there may not be a mission system for the splinter orgs, if such a thing were to be implemented both Veil and Shimada would be the controller for their respective org.
I know for certain that Veil was introduced as the Cypherite controller in her debut critical mission. I can't say the same for Shimada because when I did the archives I blew through them for the pants While you do have a point technically (due to lack of mission system), these characters are indeed written as their organizational controllers. Hence them both being considered "second in command" to Kid and Cryptos.
