Will other MxO staff (minus a certain member =p) be participating in this event? Will it even have a climax, or are you going to leave us run rampant with Flame/Smith Virusy things?

Walrus does have a good point about canon. Personally, I think what is and isn't canon is different for everyone. That's why I'll accept any transcripts at my web site.

Smith Virus is a very cool bit to bring to the game from the movies. Will game-Smith look more like Hugo Weaving?

I really do enjoy your subtle hints Walrus. That, packed with the already awesome information given, gives me high hopes for this anniversary.

Smith virus will spread all over the mega city(like zombie virus during halloween) and when you have it you will have a special "Spread Virus" ability that will do a hand in chest animation in interlock and turn the person into a Smith(like zombie bite). One can hope.

I really hope the smith virus like the flame virus spreads on contact, but the carrier would need the smith virus luggable. I can imagine a lot of fun with this. Looking forward to the event.

Um, why is it the Wachowskis' job to decide what's canon and what's not? I know they approve, decline or contribute ideas, mainly on the "higher level", but not all of them, and they aren't the only ones who write the canon. Does Rarebit contact the Wachowskis for every story element in missions and events? Or even Chadwick(?)? I don't think so, but I suppose he and we consider this "MxO canon", right? So, I'm saying P-A was canon, you say it wasn't, and in the end, nothing is certain until the Wachowskis say something? I hope no. Fact is, Rarebit and Chadwick write MxO canon, or Matrix canon. The Wachowskis don't seem to partake in everything, and we're just the audience. So who should decide what's canon and what's not? Exactly. Basically, it's just the question: "Do we write this as a real part of our storyline? Or just some fun scenario we think players will like for this celebration". I don't know what's so wrong about that. What happens in your storyline, and what doesn't. What exists in your universe, and what doesn't. "Canon" isn't just an empty word, it's an important and serious question. Either you have a Smith virus in the storyline, or you don't. *Especially* when dealing with a theme that has so much to do with the movies. But I've recently started realizing that you devs/story writers don't seem to take this all that seriously there. Many people consider LESIG and LOs canon, but much of it doesn't get approved or edited. Stuff that either seems out of place / ludicrous in the Matrix universe or has a connection with the movies either happens, or doesn't happen - who cares, does that really matter? "It's what happens in the game, you decide", after all. Eventually, there are events in MxO that are non-canon or somehow semi-canon. You get told they're not, but then they're mentioned in criticals or the Sentinel, or attended by a certain character that talks weird stuff... yea. PS: I apologize for any misconception I might have made.

Hey, at least a little solace - what Seraph hunts *might* be Unlimit remains, at the end of the day. Then again, just an assumption.
