For those of you who don't know, we lost a very special member of our organization last night.
TIMCAMM, machinist liaison
TIM was designed to provide a medium between the human operatives who work closely with Agent Gray. He did his job diligently and as efficient as we could have ever hoped for. Those who knew him and wish to honor the existence that he had are invited to join us in memorializing the life of a program named TIM.
The service will be held at the First Unified Church in Sobra Shores, Westview, on Friday, December 1st at 5pm MCT. (6pm MST/7pm CST/8pm EST).
We hope that you can all make the event. The dress will be formal. Any speakers are welcomed to talk to the assembly about our friend, TIM.

And we have Zippy to thank for providing us with his location. Afterall, we probably would have just kept blindly combing Westview, right?
And Phrack, we'll talk about deleting TIM after you get through wowing us with your adventures in deceiving him and using him for your own means like a puppet.

Or, you saying you'd protect him when you knew you wouldn't. Hoorah!

This is the events page, if you don't want to go to the event fine but please stop ruining it with bickering. We already have two threads on this subject on the Recursion general boards.
The memorial service was intentionally scheduled at the same time as EPN's because we don't really want them around while we mourn the loss of our friend. Meanwhile they can gloat freely in Mara about "PWNING" the machinists for N30 without us bothering them.
I'll say what I said when I was first told he was kidnapped.
He's a program.
As a program he should have self deleted from the start, and we could have recompiled him.
Im willing to give TAMIE a new chance now that she has been re-imaged with a full OS upgrade, however unless she fails in her role as Liason, Im not going to mourn the loss of TIMCAMM.
How can you mourn someone you never really knew? Someone you looked at as merely a means to get information that you wanted? Don't insult his memory with a mock funeral that will only give way to a bunch of grandstanding and propaganda and threats. Let the people who really knew him honor him.
Yes, I am the one flagged Machinist in that screenshot, for those of you whose video cards are't the best. I saw him, ran, and had him interlocked before he knew what hit him. (I hope.) I did ask him to forgive me, just as I began my attack. I don't know, maybe if he'd been in his right mind -- if he hadn't been hacked -- maybe he would have said that he wouldn't want to put anyone in danger, and that returning to the source would be the only way to make sure of that. But really, we'll never know.
I don't think any Machinist really wanted to kill Tim. I know I didn't. But if his code was corrupted beyond the point of repair, if he had become a danger to the system or the Matrix -- the thing that supports billions of innocent bluepill lives -- then I'm glad I did it. Even if it was the hardest thing I've ever done since I entered the employ of the Machines.

Personally I'll be going to the EPN hosted party.
Why? If Im going to spend a night remembering TIMCAMM, I'd rather do it killing EPN.
