This recap doesn't do it justice. We were in Datamine for a very long time, defending the Technician. Once the Agent appeared it was all downhill. Several operatives sacrificed themselves by fighting the agent while The Technician ran. I wasn't there for the end, but they say and it appears that ChloeAnn was fighting the Technician while an Agent shot him. It was an interesting night, but for very small results.

An event in Datamine? Must've been pretty chaotic. Someone must've also used a Runtime Bit, and looks like a Decelerator. And @ Chloeanne interlocking the Technician and then going "Woohoo" when he died, also trying to punt him when he was low in health... /facepalm

System chat totally isn't incriminating at all.
That was a fun event in my opinion, though there was a long pause inbetween the first and second spawns.
Also, lol at

He was gunna die anyways.... *shrugs*
Machine operatives were ordered to kill any Cypherites, so, I did no wrong.
And he spawned the agent. That agent wouldn't of left him alone until he was dead, he wouldn't of even made it out the door, but meh.. was fun.
Edit: I even SAID I missed the punt.. but people don't listen to me tee-hee

((This event was the culmination of the one from two weeks ago, when we first obtained the data fragments from Zero. In the intervening time, the five of us who had the fragments were presented with a puzzle, wherein we had to find the most efficient means of interfacing the frags with each other. That in turn led us on our ill-fated trip to Datamine with our hapless Technician.
I was privileged enough to be at or near the center of this entire mini-arc, and I have to say that the scope and sweep of it was like no other live event I've participated in. The grand finale in Datamine was by far the most intense and exciting time I've had since the Blue Sky event.
Sincere thanks to the devs and org-liaisons who planned and hosted these events, and congratulations to all my friends and peers who participated. The energy, creativity, dedication and cooperation of the Syntax Mech community, with whom I am proud to have been associated for the last 2.5 years, was truly inspiring to behold.))
((Ok, back in character in 5... 4... 3... ))
For an organization that prides itself on efficiency, and strives for perfection, inconclusive results such as these can be a bitter pill to swallow. However, please be reminded that we undertook a dangerous mission to the most dangerous place in the Matrix; a place generally devoid of rules and controls, where anything can, and often does, happen. Thus, we should not be surprised that our efforts were undone by a combination of forces we might normally expect to be interested in assisting us; namely an Agent of the System, and a Cypherite operative.
Despite all this, we did recover some potentially useful data. We also showed that, even when everything else seemed to be going wrong, we still stayed true to each other and worked together to produce the best result possible under the circumstances. There is absolutely no shame, and no failure, in that.

Whad'ya mean, 'lulz'? It's always like this, at least when I'm stalking abuot DN1. Although hopefully now more Machinists will realise what a plainly stupid idea it is to try to work with Cypherites.

Well you are not in charge of the Mech or the Cyph organization, so i guess you have to work with the Cyph's whatever you like it or not.

Try and work?! You guys were ordered to KILL any Cypherites who came. So you *CENSORED* tell me why what I did was wrong? You tell me why its okay for you *CENSORED* Machinists to kill Cypherites, yet a Cypherite attacks you, and its wrong?! Thats *CENSORED* **bullcrud**, and thats what makes this a bunch of *poop*. That's like telling your wife you can cheat on her, but she can't cheat on you. Its stupid, its patheic, and I'll be DAMNED if you guys are ordered to kill us, but we can't defend ourselves. So you stupid Machinists can go to hell for all I care. I don't listen to you, I listen to Veil, Cryptos, Haigen, Tranta, and Esime. I hope to God I catch some of you Machinists in Datamine..
