Not sure in what tree this would appear if it was in the game, my guess would be Zen master, or some other MA tree.
So basically the ability would backfire the enemys ability in
interlock, so if the enemy uses, say machinegun fist combo, it would
backfire on the enemy, making him/her powerless and take half of the
damage. You would take the other half. This ability would be
semi-passive, like Calm Mind, calm body or precise blow, and have a,
say, 10% backfire chance. It would take 5 IS every 5 seconds it's
active. Also Perception would give bonus to this ability. Also if you
use the Block tactic, the backfire chance would rise to 50%, and you
would take no damage.
Here how it would work:
Enemy uses Machinegun fist Combo.
You have Speed attack.
Enemy rolls higher.
Backfire kicks in, and you, instead of trying your speed attack (which
would normally fail) block the enemys attack, and you take half the
damage, and the enmy takes the other half, and becomes powerless.
In case you roll higher, the enemy take all the damage.
Block:
Enemy uses Machinegun Fist combo.
You use block.
Backfire kicks in, at 50%, and you block the enmys attack, and he takes all the damage and becomes powerless.
If 50% is too much, maybe lower it to 15 or 20, so all interlock battles won't be fought all with the block tactic.

Good for Player vs. NPCs, but it will be a problem for PVP (it's pretty much like the hacker issue).
