*sigh* egos everywhere... don't know if it's better that the hostilities are now open or not, but it might actually be better than veiled anger and bitterness... On a note to maybe try to return to this TSR thing, and my already stated disinterest: My lack of interest in this has more to do with a lack of interest in large scale events period. I used to attend the LE's when I could. I think they were kinda cool, but its not like they were really that interactive, what with 50-100 people potentially yammering away, lagging the deal up. Only real thing was that I kept up on the storyline, so at least I knew what the event was about. I tried to participate in A:B. I joined the site, I read the forums. At one point, I actually created an alt on Recursion to try and RP from a different angle on it. I sent emails to one of the numbered Operatives (admittedly, not many) but got no response, so I gave up on that. I attended one "Event" but had trouble figuring out what was going on, and found that, like an LE, there were thirty people standing around yammering. Unlike an LE, I didnt know even remotely what it was about. I left. I still overall feel like that event was more or less aimed by a group of people towards a group of people that they wanted to include. I'm not saying it was exclusive, but when you have little clue things where a strange voice lists a bunch of peoples names, and you're not one of them, well, yeah.... My overall point is... Screw anything large scale. I've run an event. I didn't call it an event, I posted it as an RP. I had no more than half-a-dozen participants at a time, sometimes just one or two. And it was great. It was personal. People enjoyed it, without it being some over-the-top production. And it has caused, to date, no drama. To me, this should be the future, is what I'm interested in. Any and all aggrandizement at this point strikes me as ego-stroking, whether it's LESIG or Player or whatever. Stick with small people... less drama that way...

In the beginning, A:B was about entertaining people. It wasn't about LESIG battles or anything of the sort. Yes, LESIG blew at that point in time. Especially on Recursion. Machinists had nothing. Mervs had next to nothing (I think this was right after Toluca left or maybe a little before?) Zion had Merrit, but Rylet was a once-in-a-whiler and Caelifera was a no-show (I still don't understand why she was never booted, though I've guessed she played most of our minor characters here and there from the shadows, which, if she did, I'm thankful). EPN had Reposco. The Cyphs were mostly a non-entity (this was just before La Sombra if I recall correctly). And at the time, there wasn't that much going on since Zeissphrack had just gotten das boot. Phrack had an idea, people rolled with it, fun was had. Having been invited to the start of the project but being unable to follow through, I can tell you that there was, at least, no malicious intent at the begining. It was conceived for enjoyment.

Croesis wrote: I like how this thread went from a Player event post for this TSR thing to all about A:B. Those people arguing over A:B and LESIG who were whinging about critisism earlier in the thread are derailing it just as much now as they were claiming people were bashing it earlier. If you're not a part of this PE, which some of you claim not to be, or have nothing further to say about this TSR thing then quit QQing, flaming and driving this thread further off topic. Take it to PM's or start other threads of rage but at least give this group's event a chance and don't fill their thread up with A:B and LESIG crap. At least when people were posting their concerns or critisism about the advertisment of a chapter number, the pretentious calling of their group LESIG 3.0 or it's placement in general discussion, which may have been a slightly harsh, at least it was actually to do with the impending event and not about previous player events.
You're absolutely right, and I apologise for my own contribution. We needs to mod it up in this bizzitch and clean this thread again.

Folks please stay on topic. I do not want to lock a thread about a current player event. The past is the past. This thread has already been cleaned up once, and it is supposed to be about TSR. If you don't have anything to contribute about TSR, then don't post here.

As far as TSR, I would love to devote some time to following it. It certainly can't hurt things in this game's state.

And for the record, I don't agree with the storyline for this TSR. I barely know enough to form an opinion. What I've been trying to do in this thread is actually run to the rescue of someone who is putting their self out there. By this time, I think I have a good idea of who it is, but I'm really trying not to let that affect judgement.

This thread has been cleaned for a third time. This is a final warning. If you don't have anything constructive to say about the TSR player event, do not post here.
Also: "Do not make posts that inquire about, contain the same information as, or comment on other removed or locked posts/topics - provided that a Moderator has not said so otherwise. If you have an issue with a Moderator action, send the respective Moderator a private message."

I can't say I've found out about the storyline in this case... could someone please clue me in?

So far all I got is that a person, or tracking program, has mentioned that the future lies within a bright, flashing green light. This future depends on weather we embrace it or not. GreyMountain wrote: So. Having an interesting chat to some tracking program (or person?). The discussion around to talking about the future. Whomever, or whatever I'm talking to, believes it sees a blinding green flash. It apparently represents the future if we are willing to embrace it.
That explains the graphic given to Michael1. After analyzing it, I gathered that it is hosted on a neutral domain. Which means it's origin is so far a dead end. ((No relevant website found so far.))
That's about it.

The connections between the Matrix and the game Shadowrun are pretty obvious. I mean, the game revolves around people hacking into a network called the "Matrix". But, the fact that it's called "The Shadow Run" and not "The Shadowrun" made me wonder... so, doing some research, I found out about a little known crime novel called "The Shadow Run", in which robbers plan to hijack a high security van during it's shadow run. The shadow run is a period of time when the van is out of radio contact with the main security base. Not sure if that has to do with anything, but it seems like it opens up for an interesting story idea.
