Any news on this issue?

I contacted SOE's support and they stated this card hasn't been tested yet.

I have also noticed that the smaller the room is, the worse the lagg gets.

Message to SOE: Test this card!!!

 Hello Turo,

Not to discount coding issues that may need to be done, but  have you tried making sure that there is nothing running in the background that may be using some of your system resources?

First disable background programs:

  1. Select the START button.
  2. 2. Select RUN.
  3. 3. Type in "msconfig" (without the "SMILEY
  4. 4. Press OK
  5. 5. Select the STARTUP tab.
  6. 6. Click on disable all. (If you are using Windows 98 or ME you will need to uncheck every thing but scan registry and systray)
  7. 7. Hit apply and then OK. Restart the computer

After you restart:

  1. Select the Start Button
  2. 2. Select Run.
  3. 3. Type in services.msc.
  4. 4. Press OK
  5. 5. In the Services window look for the line Internet Connection Firewall/ Internet Connection Sharing or Windows Internet Connection Firewall/ Internet Connection Sharing; right click and select stop if it is available.
  6. 6. Repeat for any Firewall or Antivirus Programs that you have installed.

Please note, I am not suggesting that you play MXO with your system unprotected rather these steps are offered in order to help troubleshoot.

Hello Folks,

I just noticed some other threads, is anyone with this issue not running a flavor of the 8800?

This is a confirmed issue with with the 8800 drivers, and is most likely a side effect with the new GPU processing structure. Looks like I was lucky sticking with my 7950 GX2.

Now we play the waiting game for a new driver release.

Hello phi,

I would have to agree, unfortunately, of course if I get an update on this issue I will be sure to let you all know.

Yeah, Im getting exactly the same results with my Geforce 8800 GTS, brand new computer running Windows XP.

Hopefully they'll come up with a solution for this soon.

Hello mur02004 ,

Thanks for the confirmation.

I'd have to say that we and a lot of other people are waiting to see what happens when nvidia comes out with new drivers.
