I hear a lot of controversy about the "Machine Zerg" and how it's easy to talk trash when hiding behind superior numbers. I would like to give Zion a chance to prove that our success is only contingent on zerging tactics.

I'm offering 200 million $info to any Zionite who can win a duel against me. If I win, you give me the clothing off of your back that you fight me in.

I reserve the right to alter rules of engagement based on the scenario. However, no fight will take place without the mutual agreement of both parties.

The only rule that remains constant is the instant disqualification of the offender in the event that area heals are used.

This is purely for fun. Lets keep the trash talk to a minimum. =]

EDIT:

Watch out for this, he will only duel you if you compromise loadouts, buffs, and anything to help you win. I log on as UM, and he says i'm not allowed self buffs. So i change to proxy tech, he says he will use the proxy coder ability mixed with MKT, i ask him not to thinking that if i'm not using self buffs with UM (which makes it useless), then he would compromise with not using proxy coder. Of course he didn't.

So yeh, don't bother with this chavs **bullcrud**.

As detailed in the conversation, Mashoe does not wish to participate in the challenge for 200m.

I would like to reiterate that if both competitors are not comfortable with the terms, no fight will take place. I would hate for any regrets on the part of the challenger.

Also, if an agreement cannot be reached - I would be more than happy to duel said competitor using the same class (of their choice) in order to avoid any disagreements.

Other takers welcome!

You duelling another dosen't remove the "Zerg" away from any organization at all. If you win then congrats. and we can move on to another normal day in the PvP. About the trashtalk I just see it comes from many people when they got the numbers...and that's happens on all sides. I'm not saying your idea isen't good and fun, it is a new way to go around the drama that sometimes are at at mara c. and kills the PvP in my opinion. Most of the time when the trashtalk comes up I just stop pvp'ing because it's really boring to listen to more then 1 minute. I do suggest that we should stop all this trashtalk and drama here in the Syntax forum because that's all we do talk about at the moment.....*CENSORED* we really must be boring.

Anyways have fun with duel.

The point of reducing combat to a duel is to remove the aspect of being outnumbered - the same aspect that people seem to complain about.  The purpose of these duels is to prove that Machinists win by being better rather than by having overwhelming numbers.

Zion run's numbers in Pvp, Mech's usually have numbers, And, once in a while even Merv's have PvP numbers. If you're losing to the numbers game, don't *CENSORED*, try harder.  Most groups win because they organize their team to do so.  It's an interesting proposition Mary makes here. I can't see anyone accepting the challenge, it is an interesting way to call out all the whiners. And with that said, quit bitching about "hiding behind numbers routine", it's the same old tired crap.  It is the same core groups of each Org, as far as I can tell most nights. Make an alt, recruit more people to your Org, or just simply learn how to run different ability tree's.....either way bitching about it isn't gonna change the fact that if you know what you're doing, numbers don't mean a thing.

Who cares? All the OP was saying is he's open to duel anyone using said rules.

Also, I think it's a ludicrous that Mashoe wouldn't fight you if you used a load mixed with Proxy Coder so you could insta-delete his sim. Any Proxy Coder used against someone who doesn't use the insta-kill Sim ability usually gets owned in duels because it's like fighting 2v1 (it's an npc with insane buffs), and when you're in IL with the sim it's nearly impossible to roll out, plus once the sim is close to dying the Coder can just pop a new one out in time to IL the enemy again.

I think we can pretty much draw an easy conclusion about the challenger's character when he's reluctant to use conventional trees in duels. That, however, is not the point of this thread - and personally I couldn't care less. The clothing that he would've worn wasn't that good anyway...

Alright. I still don't believe it will change alot, but it is a try.

EDIT: *CENSORED* forum updating.

The only problem is, Marias IS NOT one of those Machinists. He is very skilled at the game and I would say easily one of the best PvPers in the game. He doesn't hide behind a zerg and talk crap. There's no point dueling him cause he isn't one of the people who carries on with these antics, and as it is likely he would win the REAL perpetrators of those actions would use it as an excuse to talk more crap. If I personally feel someone is hiding behind there zerg I will call them out to duel myself, there is no need for Marias to prove himself.

Perhaps there should be a team challenge.  Six of the best Machinists versus six of the best Zionites.
