I am sure I saw a post from rarebit a while ago saying Vector as becoming just as populated as one of the other servers cant remember which.

But Vector has had good numbers lately.

Plus we dont need crews full of alta from mains on other servers that you never see in my opinion.

At fanfaire he stated that he liked seeing all the servers on medium.. He went on to say Syntax has the numbers.. but that as of late the recursion server has mainly been busy during an event, while vectors population is growing.

Perhaps he could jump in and tell it like it is.. as opposed to us guessing..etc...

I would like to say.. I like playing on recursion.. I havent spent enough time on Syntax to have an opinion there. Vector is my home, I have to hand it to all the old school vector players who came up getting messed with by the larger population of CQ hoarders theres another word im thinking of here but will hold my tongue.

It was impressive to see we had a larger turnout at fanfaire than EQ.. and SOE took notice..

Not that we will be getting cookies for it etc.. but atleast they recognize...

In overall terms I think Rarebit stated that Vectors numbers have recently been rising. In the past It's most definetally been Syntax, Recursion, Vector but recently he stated that Vectors numbers are reaching that of Syntax's numbers. so it sounds more like it's going Syntax, Vector, Recursion but only Rarebit or another dev could tell you for definate. As it's been stated Server Merges have been talked about to death and at least in my opinion about it another server merge would be fatal to the game just because it's started with 9 Servers and gone down to 3. Finally Vector would never be merged due to one non hostile server would be required to join with it if not both so either Vector would have to go non-Hostile or a non-Hostile server would have to go Hostile, and with the fact that Character transfers are unavailable due to database problems it would be impractical.

Finally just going to state that not everybody on Vector fits into the stereotypical views most people have of Vector players so please don't bash us all with "Vector sucks" just because you got killed as a lowbie by some random person, plus you can always take comfort in the fact that the person that killed you went through it as well.

I happily admit that I am one of those ppl that will hunt down the lowbie! It was done to me(Enumerator...'nuff said) and I thoroughly enjoy passing on the lesson.

PVP...RP.....its all good on Vector. Do we have the Red=Dead mentality?!?! Not so much as it used to be. But their out there../pointme. I still feel that if you want the 'true' Matrixy experiance a Hostile server is the way to grind. Even if you have a 50 somewhere else, the experiance of lvling up on Vector is well worth it.

I personally don't think there is much of an experiance any more, doesn't matter what server you play on you most likely end up grinding missions alone for hours upon hours, or even in a small group of faction peeps, all alone without much if any interruption (or any other signs of life for that matter).

yeah sure used to be great when you had whole guilds hunting you and your group down because you called them and their server scrubs.. 18months - 24months ago (even then it was starting to become a rare sight), however that just doesn't happen any more, this seems like a 1player game untill you hit 50, where your task is then hunting down signs of life on whatever server you play on to attempt to get some decent PvP.

Yeah.

I just find the 'Vector FTW', 'Vector FTL', 'Syntax FTL', and so on and so forth, posts to be almost as annoying, if not more, as posts about the female gi's.

PvP > RP > PvP > Vector > Recursion > Syntax > Vector > PvP > RP > Seraphims. SRS BUSINESS.

I bet this time next week, we'll have the thread saying how much we are all a great group, no matter what server we're on...

I don't tend to play Vector as I have about 3 hours a week max... I'd rather not spend it running from lowbie hunters (unless that gave me the XP that missions do)
It might be more Matrixy... but you can rest assured I'd unsub if it was perma PVP everywhere.

PvP would be fine if it was more skill based and less "I've had a bazillion hours to get all the good clothes"

As it stands PvP has nothing to offer me. And before you ask I have 101 CQs (like I said... no interest in it)

I originally choose Vector when I started playing this game just because of the "Hostile" next to it on the server list, and I have never tried another server because I would rather mutilate my self with a rusty spoon than level another character all the way to 50. I do like the mass PvP, but I envy the large population of Syntax. The fact is Rec/Syn aren't better than Vector, just different.

@Vinia: With all due respect, playing on Vector doesn't mean we don't have a choice on what we want to do. Playing on Vector is our choice, our choice to be able to attack anyone and be attacked by anyone. I'm sure Rec and Syn have plenty of PvP, maybe more than Vector. Our environment is just different. We still have RP, PvP, and PvE.

Seriously....it's not really that bad. And there truely is ppl around pretty much all the time/anytime to help ya out. Just gotta know where to look.../who is your friend there. Annnnd...if this old man with a wife,teens a dog and a job can find the time to roll a 50 on each server you youngins sure can....:*O
