So ive got something on my mind.  Whats the deal with all these people that find out crazy crazy facts.

Example: Who figured out you could get milk from a cow.  What was this person doing and why did he / she drink the white liquid?

Who discovered you could light you botty burps?

Who are these people?  What are they doing?  Why are they doing it?

I don't even want to begin thinking about what was in the persons mind for the cow one.. '>_>

I guess it's like you said; curious minds. Trial and error, that kind of thing.

We see it on much larger scale nowadays, the likes of the Large Hedron Collider. A lot of the people doing it will be scientists experimenting, be that back in the day where there wasn't the technology we have now, some of the people who come accross this stuff will just be completely lucky and the other ones...well, heaven only knows >_>

Yeah thats what im getting at!

Seriously, this stuff goes through my head on occasion and i just cant fathom it.  I mean seriously.. cmon.. what are you doing to that cow and why!?  Was it some sick pervert trying to get off or was it some inquizative person that figured out milk was drinkable?  Was it just pure luck?  Was it someone madman trying to procreate with a cow????

Evolution is a curious process but we as a race are just way out there.  Some things just... yeah!

LOL

I'm sure someone will paint it as luck, but the cynic in me makes me think that maybe there's a little more to it. As unfortunate for the cow as that is. >_>

I suppose that milk was known to be good source of stuff since mothers produce it for babies, cows would simply produce something similar and do it on a greater scale although back then there wouldn't have been the skimmed, semi-skimmed and full pasteurised versions.

As for the expulsion of waste gasses, it probably didn't take long to figure out the gas' composition after undertsnading the digestion system a little and realising that it some of those gasses could be ignited and then it's just down to waiting for someone sufficiently stupid or crazy to try it in the process.

Trial and error, my favourite ... well, I make more errors, though >.<'

Btw:
Theory is if you know everything and nothing works.
Praxis is if everything works but you don't know why.
Reality is if nothing works and nobody knows why.
