I may not be the first one to have come across this, but when i have finished reading the topics in the forum, i leave closing the browser.

When i return to the forums later, all the previously read topics have become remarked as unread, maing it very hard to see what has been replied to. the only way to get around this is to log out manualy each time, an as this is my home computer, i rather like the convienince of having it already logged in when i get home.

I have this sometimes occur to me, although not consistantly so not sure what happens.

Unless it's because I navigate away from the forums before I close it, but not sure. SMILEY

Hello Folks,

Just out of curiosity what browsers are you all using?

I ran some tests and this happens in the following browsers:
Safari (OSX Jaguar)
Opera (latest)
FireFox 1 & 2
MSIE 5.5 and up

The problem is probably to do with the way your session is saved. Navigating away from the forums before closing the browser seems to fix it. Also these blasted forums have issues if you open more than one window or tab.

EG: if you are replying to a post, do not click a link on these forums in ANY open window or tab ohterwise it gets confused as to your last transaction and you will get a duplicate post error. If only the post ID was assigned on posting rather than on opening the reply screen.
