While this event has had it's flaws, I think we all need to step back and thank doh and co for putting themselves through hell to try to help us have something to do.

It's sad to hear about someone can't take losing a fight. Bottom line is if you can't prove a sploit or stop it. theres nothing really to talk about. Disqualify someone for something you can't prove? I think people are missing the general idea. To give some content to the game we all can participate in as a community not just a faction or an organization.

To the winners, congratulations

To Playdoh & Byond: Dont let it get to you, and keep up the good work

To SC and Bayamos - it seems like you lost and dont like how it feels?- so its not SC 26, World 0 - big deal

To any complainers: Host your own tournament

To the exploit claimers: Talk to a dev, like Playdoh said, its not our function to nitpick at every single damage dealt in a fight and determine whether or not an exploit was used - if you wanna do that, as above, host your own tourney.

DE does not pick sides or allow known exploits to be used in the tourney that we have control over, or if we are 100% sure that it is indeed an exploit. Take your claims elsewhere Bay, as far as that forum access you have, its gone - you dont get to make an alt in our faction, Atrophi, and never get on it, but in the meantime troll our site EVERY DAY to see whats going on and make false interprentations of what you say to be us favoring exploits to be used in the event. Please.

Of course, I dont want to ruffle any feathers either, but by all means if any of your egos cant take losing in an event, feel free to drop out.

Frankly, I'm disappointed by this post.

I've had nothing but respect for the previous tournaments run, and this one too. I've got nothing but respect for you either, Manatik. If you'd have read my post I'm quite happy to accepted defeat(This line in my post, if you read it: Like I want to re-iterate, I'm not complaining or wanting this decision overturned, Duckker won the second fight fair and square.), I was beaten fair and square in the second fight, and congrats to him for doing so. Heck even this might have happend by accident that can't be ruled out at all, but what I'm trying to accomplish is bringing something to the table here to try and *help* the tournament so that there's no issues in the next events. To have an ego in a video game is both pointless and stupid, particularly one with a combat system like ours, so I don't know why I'm being accused of having one. I'm getting mixed messages here, because Byond was quite willing to get any possible measures in place to prevent it from happening again.

Like I expressed to Playdoh and Byond in game, I know running a tournament is hellish because I've done it, and pretty much run it by myself. There's like 90 different people sending you tells along with area chat spam, faction chat and everything else. So I can appreciate why things are so d@mn difficult, because pleasing everyone and/or the majority is absolutely impossible. So I know the stresses of running these, you do too, you've done it for like 4 years now. There's nothing but appreciation for the work you put in to organise and run the events because it's hellish for you guys for the time span that it runs.

But honestly, that post just really comes accross as there's some kind of underlying dislike which is quite disappointing because I've always felt we had a good rapport and my post, in which I was highlighting an issue, accidental, deliberate or otherwise is still an exploitable issue which can hurt the integrity of the tournament and I spoke with Byond about it last night in order to have some measure against it today in MA one which he was all too happy to take onboard, I don't see why thats changed.

I hope everyone can move on from this, it's not something I've enjoyed at all but I'd still like to re-iterate(lol, feels like the 20th time but whatever) that I'm happy and appreciate the tournaments hosts, I don't want decisions overturned, nobody here is bitter about losing and I'm trying to highlight a possible issue so that in the next fights, there can be a method to prevent it.

I think in future...

Organisers hand out to each participant an item/items of clothing and shoes that they are to wear, preferably  unbuffed..no deviating.Make sure nothing can go underneath =) This sorts the clothing issue.

Surely its about doing the best with what you got, not who can dodge the rules and flaunt sploits? Finding out who is the best in a certain discipline should be the norm...not the exception after you've dug thru the enhancements.

Take all tournaments back to the basics. Who can work their Loadout best. Not their exploits.

Ok...cmon, start slating me ...I'm a big girl...

Have to run an errand before the MA tournament today and might run a bit late. If it was picking up milk I'd blow it off, but family crap, so Tony and Gravey you get some free time to make it which is all good.

SC I respect each and everyone of you, and like many of you on a personal level, even the ones that don't like me, cause you don't like me with style and thats fun too.

To all with kind words, much appriciated.

Exploits? I can't put my head around em, I can be steered in a way to stop em, just wanted to give us something to do rather then attack shiny people on buildings and such.

I think I like Pyro in this today, do I have a mancrush?

Yas, my comments werent directed at you specificaly, more to Bay.  I know you ran a tourney as well and know how it can be, and in general you are a pretty reasonable person as well.  I wasnt thrown off by your post and understand what you were trying to say.  Bay in the other hand, forgets that when SC won VO2.0, he was the target along with SC, of commiting sploits, bringing the "Syntax sploiters" as they were referred to by many.  At the end of the day, you got SC and PDS in first place, coincidently enough the 2 factions that are blamed the most in this server for commiting sploits.

And Bay, dont send me these PMs thinking you were any type of "contribution" to DE by "posting long mathematical equations that our members didnt understand".  Most of them are casual players that dont take the time that you have obviously put in into understanding the "code of teh matricks". That dont make you better then anyone pal.  I can care less if DE finishes this tourney with 0 pts either, we put these things together to bring content to the server, not to serve as an ego fest and have a wank over our results.

Will update all this tomorrow or monday as I get all the info from Doh, but it looks like the Faction Totals are as follows:

  1. SC/PDS/TT EPN - 5
  2. PM - 3

Just fixing the scores, TT also has 5 pts, so we got a 3-way tie for first place!!
