Just a quirky question that popped into mah head.
After everything Roland witnessed, first hand, of Neo's abilities and accomplishments, what do you think Roland did?
A) Joined EPN, finally realizing the prophecy was true and Neo was their savior
B) Stayed Zion, denouncing EPN's actions as foolish and rash.
C) Retired to Florida
B)
He never saw first hand what all Neo did and never believed like Niobe or Morpheus in him. I doubt he had a change of heart when the truce came around and his character seemed like the type that would sooner die then admit he was wrong so I'd say he stuck with Zion and woulda been hunting Morpheus day and night if he could of back in 1.3
Roland never believed in the One, and had no real reason to believe in the One. He probably knew and accepted that Neo saved the Matrix, but that's as far as it goes.
Yea, maybe Roland would slap some sense into Zion, most notably EPN.
He seemed like a pretty straightforward guy, not the type to believe in prophecies or mysticism...he probably would have shrugged and said "it figures" when he found out the whole prophecy about the One was just part of the Machines' system of control.

Roland would doubtlessly be staunchly Zion and anti-EPN. I don't doubt he'd put the beat-down on the Kid if he ever met him again in the Real or in the Matrix (and I'd gladly sell tickets to *THAT* cage-match). The guy's too pragmatic to put much stock in prophecies or messiahs, and I have a feeling he'd have about the same reaction to EPN as most people do to End-Times believers, ie. that they're crackpots at best, fanatics at worst.
That said, I'd love to see this guy show up in MxO: he's a great character, despite the teeny amount of screen-time he got. I've speculated on his background a bit, wondering if he was somewhat older when he was unplugged, and suspecting he may have been in the military before that.
