A Call to Arms ((Recruitment))

I sit around the Tabor West hardline every day. This is a given, and it usually happens several times a day, most days of the week. Some of you know me, I'm sure most of you don't. I've been on Syntax for about 3 years now, and I often find myself reminiscing about days gone by, and how RP used to be spectacular. Alas, far as I can tell, those days are gone. Gone are the engaging storylines, gone are the heroes and arch-villains, gone is the atmosphere. I can sit quietly no longer. It is easy to criticize the state of something when you are doing nothing to help. No longer.

At a Tabor sit-in today, the subject of the future of RP came up. When myself and several others agreed that things were bleak, the idea of trying to spark some life in our dormant RP community sparked. There was talk of posting on NR, talk of starting small events, but that's all it was: talk. Well, I've finally been moved to put this talk into action, hence why I am here.

I am, and will be looking for a group of players to help undertake a pilot event. If it goes well, I may continue writing events to liven things up. But, for now, I'm looking for players to engage in what I would term a "darker, seedier" RP event based on, but not exclusively pertaining to a specific facet of the Zion Intelligence community. Players of all levels and all orgs are welcome to reply, I'm considering all angles. If I am to get this off the ground, I will need your help. I eagerly await your replies, and look forward to giving you a glimpse of what I have in mind.

does the RP involve killing someone at the end of the day? if so I might be interested in knowing what you have in mind for your idea. what would really be cool is to have the "RP" leader have his/her own spawn tool that can have some NPC's in it at the end of a rp event to make it more fun. if that was to ever happen that would be awesome.

When I say "darker, seedier rp", I mean that this "intelligence unit" is black. I'm sure, if things go as I'd like, several someones will die by the end of it.

Just thought I'd let everybody know I'm still around, and I'm still setting things up and getting everything planned out. There was a death in my family this last week here, and it has considerably slowed things down.

Sounds like fun, I'm looking forward to it.

Also RP isn't as distant as you think. I know many people who RP and love to do so in game. It's just that many people who do RP keep it small with their friends and factions. I think the reason why is because a group or individual of people would work hard and at the end of it, see their hard work torn down by a faceless mob on the internet. You can only take so much of, "lol that sucked. Back to Mara."

Still, it's nice seeing others making an effort of some type. Let me know when it is and i'll try by best to be there and participate. Might bring a few friends along too. SMILEY
