I don't really follow what's new in the world of video games (the last one i bought was CoD4) and spend my time playing super nintendo, MxO, gunbound, Diablo II, and old gameboy games from 1997.  But thanks to Christmas I have $$$ and was wondering what games you guys think are good so i can upgrade lol.

I have everything except a PS3 at my house and wouldn't mind suggestions for other game systems, but I preferably want computer game suggestions, because that's all I have at school (besides my super nintendo) and my roommate sold his Xbox360.

penny for your thoughts......?

We need moar videogames!

The only game I got for Christmas was Fallout 3 (Which I love... times infinitey... to the power of infinitey) but other than that, my christmas was rather lean.

Recently, there's been a big butt load of awesome video games to play, I've almost gone broke failing to avoid buying them all. Left 4 Dead, Mirror's Edge, the new Sins of a Solar Empire expansion, FEAR 2, Ghostbusters... the list goes on and on. Some games have been praised by critics that I played for a week and got utterly bored of (Spore for example), some games have been trashed to no end by critics that I love quite a bit (Mirror's Edge); some games have dashed my very hopes by their cancellation (CnC: Tiberium, SC: Ghost), while I've bought games that I've sorely wished were never released (AoE 3, Crysis).

My point is, go with what you think about video games, based on your own likes, and try not to let anyone else mold your opinion.

As for finding games out there that you might enjoy, try surfing the usual video game websites, like GameSpy or IGN, or gaming forums, like the random threads posted about games on these very forums here! As for reccomendation, you should try the Mirror's Edge demo, or look into Sins of a Solar Empire. ;3

We need to have another World War so we can have some inspiration for new FPSers. But since Obama is a pansy,  I'm not sure if we're going to be that lucky. Luckily, the Pacific Theater of WW2 hasn't been explored too much, I wouldn't mind seeing 1 more CoD game based in the Pacific theater to be released... they left out some pretty big battles from the Pacific. I want Madden games to become free, because they are the same game every generation with a new guy on the cover. Tony Hawk games need to stop. There needs to be a Dead Space 2, and Mass Effect 2... soon. KOTOR 3 please. Freespace 3 pretty please, and Homeworld 3 uber please. Those are my jumbled thoughts at the moment.

Is it the MMO or an RPG?

I'd love another KOTOR RPG. Not sure what they'd do with it though. :/

Oh I know, but its not KOTOR 3. Just like how WoW is not Warcraft IV... both games I want true sequels to.
